So I remember always enjoying modelfight.com and getting a few of their videos (which are now gone due to the stupid DRM they had on their videos). I recognize a few of their girls (alexis and Ariana/keri), but I was wondering if anyone knew what happened to some of their other girls. And what was the story behind them? Where did they come from and what happened that they went out of business? Thanks!

I'm not clear on what you're describing.   Are you stating they had some sort of proprietary application on their site that prevented anyone from looking at their media unless they were using the application?  If so, that's mtrhfckng HILARIOUS!!!  Please tell  me more?

Pretty much they made no mention of it, but once you bought the videos, anytime you watched one, it had to connect to their server and validate to watch. Once the site went down, it couldn't validate and the videos were pretty much useless. They had a lot of girls though and a wide variety of videos. I just wondered where they came from, if anyone knows what any of the girls are up to, and why they closed. They could have been a long laster if they had normal videos, since they had a wide variety. Like punching and fighting? They had a few. Like rules catfights? Yep. Wrestling? Definitely. Erotic? That too.

That certainly is interesting - and ludicrous! Strangely enough I once started to go through the motions of buying a download from them, but the instructions shown on their site - whatever they were - made me have second thoughts and I gave up on the idea. Which apparently was a good financial decision.

What about them specifically gave you second thoughts? If you can recall that is.

It was a long time ago, but as I recall their topless matches - which were what interested me - were held in a separate section called TopCat Club. When you accessed this section there was some sort of message about watching downloads IN the club. I wasn't clear exactly what that meant so in the end I decided not to buy - MB has now clarified that message. It was a shame the site operated in that way because, as he also says, they had some rather good material.

It is a shame. There were so many companies/videos released in the late 90's/early 2000's that just vanished without a trace. One minute, they're available, the next they're gone. And despite being around, no one ever seems to remember them or have their videos to trade/sell. I mean, bikiniwrestling.com, modelfight, c&bvideo, ringmaster girls, early Catfight haven, catfightingangel...One day their sites just went down and the owners seemed to vanish.

Was doing some digging on Modelfight, specifically Caroline (last name Yawn I believe) and came across your question. Sorry to "Necro" if if that's considered rude on this board. I don't know a lot about Modelfight but but as you mentioned they, like a lot of smaller companies, have completely disappeared from the internet along with almost any trace or even mention of their videos. I liked some of their models quite a bit including perhaps their best and most experienced girl Caroline. She did a small amount of work outside Modelfight including a few appearances at Fitness Action Wrestling (aka Femmix).

Modelfight was based somewhere in Florida. The girls they brought in were young, fresh and ranged from attractive to gorgeous. Including a young girl named Paula (5'6 110lb) who was franchise material- so gorgeous you can (and should) build your product line around her. Super cute, killer body, great attitude and aggressive. She had it all.

I do not remember a website with restrictive copyright protections. I purchased DVDs from them that I just recently ripped and all went well. Certainly we're talking about the same Modelfight company from around 2004.

I think Modelfight's short if exciting existence is more common than the other example- companies like Double Trouble or DWW whose success goes for decades. I got the feeling Modelfight was started by a pretty young guy(s) and they recruited girls not too much younger than themselves. They lived the dream for a couple of years, blew some money, hit some roadblocks in life (girl friends, got married, got a job out of state, got bored with the work involved running an internet business) and needed to move on. A shame, they did some good, if uneven work. I loved that they worked in a largely untapped market- the south east United States. Tons of amazingly hot beach girls that no one has bothered to hire for wrestling work. These girls do bikini contests commonly, why not ask them to wrestle while in that skimpy bikini? Better money, no drunk crowds.

Fitness Action Wrestling did the same thing and for longer. Sadly they too look to be shutting off the lights. Insanely hot women did videos for them. Most of them professional bikini models and Hooters calendar girls. Southern California is dead for recruiting new talent (lazy companies coasting on their huge back catalogs). Look to Florida and the south east for new companies and new talent.
