I find the replies to this post to be fascinating, especially the reply from central_pa_couple because they knew some of the people who were actually involved with Crystal.

It blows me away that a woman would get into a catfight knowing she was pregnant, if she did know it.  How early was she in her first trimester?  If she didn't know she was pregnant, that's one thing.  But if she knew it, and chose to fight anyway, how could she get away with suing Crystal?

I'm actually surprised Crystal managed to stay in business as long as they did.  I remember way, way back when Crystal was called Crystal Films.  And I remember their Catspats magazine and old films before they changed to Crystal Videos.  How many video mags did they produce, 17 or 18?  I can't remember.  But I think they were very lucky that no one got seriously hurt in one of their fights.  And someone could have suffered a broken neck or even died.  Think of the liability.

Could not agree more.  I don't care how many waivers a fighter signed prior to the fight, the company was way, way out on a liability limb if someone had been seriously injured.  What would their defense be?  "Uh, we pay girls to fight for money so that we can video them and sell the vids."  One can only imagine the reaction of a judge or jury.

I recall seeing one fight on Youtube that never made it onto a Vid Mag.  Two larger girls were battling, and one had gotten behind her opponent, grabbed her around the waist, picked her up and drove her into the mat.  The top (not the crown, mind you) of the girl's head slammed into the mat.  Anyone who has been around football or wrestling knows that such an action can result in neck or even spinal cord damage.  She screamed as she hit the mat, and the camera stopped.  I suppose that she wasn't seriously hurt, or we would have heard about it, but that would have it for me as a producer -- bullet dodged.

Mary controlled the whole fight! She wanted smoke back and she wasn’t woman enough to come back! They could have done it topless! Mary would have prolly been down to do it nude! Mary is my gal and id love nothing more to fight a dude along side her! She is undefeated, hands down!

There were many periods where neither lady was in control, including one where they stood at one end of that sofa and traded punches to the face and neck, tempers were completely gone and I was surprised the producers didn't stop the fight, glad they didn't by the way, but i would not say Mary controlled the whole fight, had that been the case, why did she keep stopping it?

Because her thong was off and she didn’t want her primates exposed. Even the announcer said Mary was getting the better of her! Why wouldn’t smoke come back and fight if she was winning?

There are interesting comments on here regarding what constitutes an an entertaining, acceptable fight.  For as long as I can remember the thought of women or girls fighting just excites me beyond measure.   Here's my conundrum.  I like to see females fight but I hate to see them hurt or bloodied.  I'm glad to say it is possible for women to fight hard without getting hurt other than soreness or bruising which women who play rugby experience every weekend.  The concept of placing two women in a room, no referee and letting them fight was mind blowing to me and when I saw the fight between Mary and Theresa, I felt it would never be bettered. Both in black underwear, a personal choice, they removed their bras and flew at each other woman to woman.  Pushing, pulling and dragging each other round by the hair was exciting enough but there was a section in which both had each other's hair with one hand and with the other hand were pounding each other.  It was breath taking and at that point it seemed clear the ladies weren't there because of fight money, they were fighting to see who would win, and we're fighting like women.  Mary looked delighted doing her winning pose but the fight was that close a rematch happened a few days later.  I saw the full version years ago but the clip I find now ends with both ladies bent at the waist with Mary shouting for Theresa to let go of her hair, even though she is pulling Theresa's.   Great fights, both.
On the internet you hear shouts of no hair pulling, it's pussy.    To me it's an enevitable and exciting part of females fights.   These spectators at real fights would be better shouting no head stomping or banging on concrete, no kicking in the face.   Perhaps I look back through rose coloured glasses and remember days when slapped and didn't punch, kicked thighs and locked together and grappled and when a fight was won it stopped, there was no gratuitous violence.

Very sadly we will never know for certain, perhaps frustration at the stoppages, perhaps fear, when two women take part in a brawl, it sometimes doesn't take much to put one or both off and they reconsider and lose motivation to continue fighting, a bit like an athlete cooling down.

I think that you meant to write "privates" and not "primates."  As someone who makes occasional errors, this made me chuckle.

Not a huge fan of the fight as it doesn't get me aroused.  ;D
