The Coven Part II
« on: May 19, 2023, 10:18:12 PM »
Kait got the whole story from Amanda after the meeting, and quite the story it was. From the time of antiquity, the coven had always chosen its High Priestess via combat…and the chosen form of combat was the tit-fight. Stories indicated that a tournament among the initial 13 members had determined the first High Priestess. No one really knew if that were true or not. Records, of course, were rarely kept in organizations as reviled as witchcraft had been. What was known was that the only way to become High Priestess was to defeat the current High Priestess in a tit fight…and it had been that way for centuries.

Any coven member could challenge at any time. But. There was a catch. Win and you’d be High Priestess. Lose and you would not only be beaten and humiliated in front of your sisters, you’d be subjected to whatever punishment the High Priestess chose, and then be permanently expelled from the coven.

Amanda had explained that, despite the risks, challenged happened regularly early in the reign of any High Priestess, as other ambitious witches took the opportunity to test out the coven’s new “champion” as it were. But, once a High Priestess survived those early challenges, her position became far more secure, as Absynthe’s had been since her defeat of Lori. It had been two years since that challenge and the resulting tit-fight, and none of the other members had tried Absynthe. And, Kaitlyn knew why.

She’s watched the fight between the blonde and the brunette, of course. The entire coven had. She’d watched as Absynthe’s C-cups had crushed Lori’s like-sized breasts. Then, she’d watched as Absynthe had stripped Lori naked in front of them, taken her to the basement of the mansion, and chained her, naked and freezing, to the cold stone wall. The brunette had left the blonde there until morning, then released her and expelled her from the coven. Kait knew none of the other women wanted to go through that, and none of them wanted to risk their membership in the group. But, there was another factor working in Absynthe’s favor. About half the current coven had been, like Kait, replacements for women Absynthe had beaten, chosen by and loyal to the High Priestess. They weren’t going to challenge her.

Kait herself had been one of those loyal members…until she’d watched the cruel delight with which Absynthe had destroyed Lori, humiliated her, tortured her, and then cast her out. She’d lost all loyalty to and respect for Absynthe that night, because Kaitlyn had realized the High Priestess was ruling by fear. Her immediate reaction was to simply quit, but that would have been giving in to the bitch, giving her what she wanted. No, Kait decided, she wasn’t doing that. Instead, she’d take the High Priestess’ power and remove her from the group.

The High Priestess likely wouldn’t be the only one to go, Kait knew. Some would challenge her over the mantle, and she’d defeat and remove them. But, there were two others who wouldn’t have the guts to try. Kait would use another rule to deal with them, a rule Absynthe held over everyone’s head, just another element of her rule by fear. Once a year, the High Priestess was permitted to bring in prospective new members. But, since the coven always had to have thirteen members, if someone came, someone else had to go. The issue would be decided in the Circle of Combat. And, the High Priestess would choose which current members had to fight to keep their positions. There was no punishment attached to an outside challenge, but a loss of membership would be punishment enough. So, all the members wanted to stay on the good side of the High Priestess…just as Absynthe wanted. Kait, however, knew some witches who’d make good coven members. She’d use them to weed those members out.

Kait was, she admitted to others and herself, often very impulsive. And, after seeing what Absynthe had done to Lori, a woman she’d considered a friend, the blonde had wanted to challenge immediately. But, instead, she bided her time. Kait had no doubt about her boobs, no doubt they were better than Absythe’s, but, she’d never been in a tit-fight, and Absynthe had been in several. Kait needed time. She needed time, and she needed Amanda, who’d been in a group for over a decade.

Kait knew that one of the reasons for her friend’s anger on this evening was that the brunette had been an unknowing part of Kait’s long game. The blonde had started things by expressing concern about Absynthe getting friendly with some of the other young witches at a gathering the coven had attended. She’d told Amanda that she feared Absynthe might want to bring in some of these girls and that she, Kait, might be forced to fight for her spot. Amanda pooh-poohed the whole thing, but Kaitlyn continued to express her fears over several weeks until Amanda agreed to help her.

The brunette had seen several tit-fights at the coven and had even engaged in a few unofficial fights of her own, something she’d told Kait about on the night of Absynthe’s fight with Lori. She was just what Kaitlyn needed. Amanda taught the younger woman the ropes and even did some practice tit-fights with her. After the third of these, Amanda had said the magic words. “Any girl who tit-fights you is in trouble. I have Ds to your Cs and you’re still too much for me. It was Kait’s turn to pooh-pooh at that point, but she kept in Amanda’s ear about the possibility of an outside challenge and the two friends kept working together to stay in practice, just in case.

There never were any outside challenges, and Kait had known all along that there wouldn’t be. Absynthe had what she wanted. Every coven member was either loyal to the High Priestess or concerned enough about an outside challenge that wouldn’t come to act that way. Every member save one, the one who was going to crush the firm C-cups Absynthe was so proud of. Every member save Kait. Oh, Kaitlyn acted the part. She played the good soldier. All while she was playing the High Priestess. All while she was preparing what amounted to a hostile takeover.

When the blonde arrived home and pulled into the garage, she sat in the car staring through the windshield at nothing for a few minutes. She’d finally done it. There was no going back now. The buzzing of her cell phone shook her from her reverie.

“This is  Kaitlyn,” she said, on autopilot.

“What the fuck are you doing?” Amanda shouted. “You’re going to get expelled after she hangs you off the fucking wall and when she’s going to figure out I was involved and get some bitch with DDDs to come in here and challenge me…”

“No, she won’t,” Kait said calmly. And, the calmness in her voice shocked Amanda to silence. “Look around the coven, ‘Manda. You have the biggest pair in it and you were there before she took over. She’s not bringing in DDDs or DDs, because she’s afraid one of them might get up the courage to challenge her. She has eleven compliant members, which is just what she wants. Her mistake was believing that she had twelve. So. No she won’t. And, no I won’t, because I’m going to beat her ass.”

“You don’t know what you’re talking about,” Amanda sputtered. “She…”

“Who has the best tits you’ve ever fought, Amanda, or were you lying to me?”

“I wasn’t lying, but she…”

“Has a great, firm rack. Well. So do I. And, I’m convinced mine is better. Add in the fact that she will absolutely be overconfident and, in 28 days, I’m going to be High Priestess and she’s going to be out on her ass!”

“You’d better hope…” the brunette began.

“I don’t need to hope,” Kait said. “The bitch is going down, Amanda, and so will any of her sycophants who challenge me. The coven is going to be mine and we’re going to be what we’re supposed to be, a sisterhood and not a cult of Absynthe.”

There wasn’t much more to say. The decision had been made and there was no going back, even if Kait had wanted to. And, she did not.
