Here's what I found:

https://today.yougov.com/topics/entertainment/survey-results/daily/2021/09/14/1cdcd/1

https://www.vox.com/2014/6/16/5758280/high-schoolers-are-fighting-less

The search engines seem to produce a lot of results about polls involving students only and crimes of violence against women. Trying to weed those out.

If you find anything, post it here.

I don't have anything concrete.  I had seen a report on the news a few years ago that boys were fighting a lot less in schools (zero tolerance and less masculine males were the reasons given), but a dramatic increase in female fights both in the number and severity.  The school officials said the girl fights were much worse as when the boys fought, they usually fought once and it was over.  The girls fight again and again and it never is over.  This was on NBC Nightly News before the pandemic.  No idea if it was actually backed up with data or just "educators say".
I love catfights and chatting.  Look me up on trillian at ljack66   (I think... just figuring Trillian out)

I'm kind of shocked that it's so hard to find this data.

I guess there's more of social interest in finding out whether or not school-aged kids are fighting. But I'm surprised there's next to nothing on women in general fighting.

I have to admit, it would be a bit of a thrill to me to be able to estimate how much more aggressive a woman is compared to the average woman if I could confirm that she had been in one or perhaps several fights.

Just a heads up if still interested, this poll breaks it down from young femmes fighting to women, and little bit in between interesting data…  https://original.misterpoll.com/polls/349807/results.. i think speaking for myself anyway, your going to find and see the highest majority is between younger females as we all started somewhere but more often it starts in the schools.

My first two fights ever were jr. And sr. Year of HS (same girl) then had one not far after HS was over. My next two were in late 20’s and mid 30’s not counting irl arranged fights of course.

What would happen DottiD if you ran into those women nowadays that you had fights with ? Would you start fighting them ? What would you say to them ? What would they say to you ?

Funny you should ask, the woman i fought after HS was the same Bitch I fought in HS i kicked her ass all 3 times, one year he and i went to visit my family out there i was showing him my old school and he asked whatever happened the chick i fought , we went to the same old bar and there she was a drunk bar fly which is basically a whore. She saw me and her face got red and her yes popped i swaggered up to her and asked, “remember me ?” She stammered to a yes and grabbed her bag and lef the bar. My hubby smiled as i did and we went to my families .lol i am not the type to start it, but she went after my man back then and i was willing to fight her right there again. She didn’t want any part of me though.

I don;t expect that  you mean fighting like boxing or dojo grappling-- BUT- those are real women in real fights-- against other women unless it is training and you roll with  a male instructor.
So.. I trained boxing and did 4 BJJ classes...and esp in boxing there is clearly a big upswing in girls/women..even 'mature' women getting into  way beyond what  people think of as a fistfight..they are looking for something that can carry them away...

women getting into sport combat more--esp  new ways of i-- will be heard by other females, get them to check it out. Boxing, muay thai, kickbox. MMA and certainly boxing-- women  pioneers- like Rousey, Holm, meisha tate, and just now the  best woman fighter on the planet..maybe in all history far as we can know-- Amanda Nunes-- just retired. any girl with the drive  and pesonality..watching her fight-- is fuel and a lit match.

There are a couple numbers I think are really interesting in this poll.  First, 100% of the women that replied to the poll said they had fought before which we know is not true.  This tells us women that hadn't fought, just didn't bother with the poll.  Second 55% of the women say won more than they lost.  Obviously statistically there would have to be a similar number that lost more than they won but that number is only 27%.  Which tells me winners were more eager to do this poll than loosers.  Finally 45% of the women either look for a chance to start a fight or welcome a fight any chance they get.  Really?  Then how the heck did so many of us get so unlucky as to have married the 7% that avoid catfights at all costs?

I'm guessing they didn't verify that any of these self-identified women were actually women? I've heard rumors that males sometimes pretend to be females on the internet but that's probably just an urban legend.  ???

Honestly the question of the poll is to general, i only say this cause to really get an accurate set os stays , you have to itemize it, for example, and this is just made up numbers, i would have to say if you asked 100 women “have you ever had a catfight?”  Out of that 100 you have to itemize it down to how many of that 100 had their first fight in school years, simply because thats where just about everyone had their first run in.  I think after that you should make a category of 19-29 age group, 30-39 40-49 and so on.

Some women may never have had a fight till middle age, then you need to find out the why, was it over a lover, a child, a party, so on. Would be a ton of numbers and work but it would be a serious and somewhat cool set of results to review.
