In high school, I had a teacher named LaNell. LaNell knew my mother, Joji. One morning, a group of us students were sitting in LaNell's office, hanging out before class. At one point during our converstion, LaNell mentioned she knew my mother was not someone to be messed with. Since then, I've always wondered if my teacher was hiding something. Perhaps she and my mom had met up in private? How would she know my mom isn't someone to be messed with?
