Thanks for the 411. I just watched the trailer, and it looks interesting. The movies does not appear to be a small budget film. Obviously, someone in Tinseltown believes that Mildred's story will strike a nerve with today's public. Not only does her story involve the fight to overcome deep-seated sexism and tradition, but the ultimate betrayal by her husband / manager. And I wonder just how June Byers is going to be portrayed.
Like you, I hope that the film does her justice. It's a gritty, often sad story, but one of survival.
