Today's Wall Street Journal has a long article describing how it has become rare for spouses to be invited to holiday office parties.  One reason given is a desire to avoid drama between work-wives and actual-wives.

Interesting point of office wife and actual wife. Meeting at the office Christmas party with both women dressed up looking very hot, and the two of them are checking each other out. Then add in a couple of drinks and things can get a little bit catty.

The idea of two hot women at a Christmas party (each wearing dresses and barefoot ) getting drunk & getting into a catfight is getting me aroused.

Love the picture.  I kind of imagine it going all ways.  Jealousy between employees and spouses, spouse vs. spouse, and employees vs. employees.  Throw in a couple drinks and you can definitely have trouble.  Just not worth the extra drama.
