Cyber-fight posting board?
« on: June 26, 2013, 06:41:34 PM »
I'd love to have a sextion (misspelled it, but I'm keeping it!) where we can post actual cyber-fights for others to see.  I'd love to fight in the main chat room, but it's just a little too buggy for me there (sorry moderators!)

Any thoughts on putting up such a place for the winners to publically gloat over the loser's humiliation?  :)

Well if you posted the fights one per thread it is no worse than a story. Also if someone does a bit of formatting it can make them look neater. For an idea one can take a peek at my blog for an idea about space.

I think it is a very good idea and it will remind us the good time of the old Yahoo groups.  Some years ago, most of the groups were really active and matches recaps were posted regulary.  A short summary of the fight usually made by the loser.  It made the groups live then people got tired of it, I don't know why.

It is worth a try.

I'm in and agree with Gaelle.  I'll look at your blog Meg, try to enjoy it, and disregard the blatant self-promoting in the process (just kidding, just kidding, just kidding)!

hey at least I leave my opponent's name in nowadays :) Besides I think some of them have got more matches from being on it than I have LOL

The other caveat to all this is, of course, both sides must agree with what is posted. The trend does seem to be away from results being posted. One reason might be the large invisible populace on yahoo who, if they posted results, would have people realizing they aren't on that person's visibility list :)

Personally I have little interest in seeing person A beat person B summaries but logs might be of some interest if only to know who is someone I would care to fight.

Its a very good Idea... but winner or looser... it should include All.

Sure some would be very nice & also make you know how differently one can Fight etc.

Interesting!!!
