So, the rematch is over. Tate's tactics were pretty stupid, she was never going to be beat Rousey in grappling.

In case you didn't know, Ronda Rousey:

is strong as fuck. Tate gets much credit for even hanging as long as she did. What the fuck with the takedown attempts, though. Maybe she was trying to set something up, but... puzzled.

Is Tate wearing a groin guard?

Strength is not the primary thing Rousey, or any good judoka, has going for them.  I have a friend who was a 4 time US National Champion in his weight class and judo is much more about grip, quickness, leverage, and tactics.  Strength only really comes into play when the two grapplers are evenly skilled.  Ronda was throwing Tate around because she's much more technically sound and varied in her knowledge of angles for throws.
RIP the account of Sophie Cees.

Appreciated the analysis by Homewrecker, Kittysosweet, and Remember Christmas.  All 3 of you, from different angles, got the result correct.

Unfortunately for Tate, she's in danger of going down in history like that short-haired blonde girl from the Crystal Real Fights who lost time and time again to Andi.  Game fighter, but where's the results?

That happens in other women's sports too.  I remember in women's hoops Connecticut leading Tennessee at the half 60-24, and the ESPN announcers (all 3) said, "Well, the second half will be a different story."
