- So here we are, Jeff, we're in the final and it's Match 7, still not ready to predict if the winner of the next one will take the championship?
- Smart-ass, but yes, it's the final match, and so automatically a championship match for both teams.
- Unless it's a tie of course, but how significant is it, that Italy came from behind? Say this IS a tie, who will feel they survived this fight?
- That's difficult to say, France must rue lost opportunities but averting a championship fight for your opponent must be a relief.
- Well, I don't think you can go for a tie anyway, I am sure both girls have nothing but the win in mind.
- This is, and we know this, Marion Cotillard versus Anna Falchi, any thought on this?
- Anna Falchi has been a very secure card for Italy in the entire tournament, but on the other hand so have all their 3 losers. Italy have experienced nothing like this match. France, again, had their epic tussle with Russia, and then their underdog destruction of Australia. So who can mentally handle this, is the question.
- You're the analyst, but I noticed something.
- Go on.
- Anna watched the last fight, Marion didn't. She left the hall right after it was announced and she knew she would be in the last fight.
- Well, is that because she was nervous, or getting mentally prepared?
- Time will tell, we are ready to start, and this isn't like tennis, where you have to win by two, this is potentially decisive either way.

As this is the last match, and it was known it advance the lead up is different. The Milennium Dome again turns dark, but then two security guards move up behind the girls and place a hand on their shoulders - the girls are coiled like springs, as the screen counts down from 10 with dumb booms accompanying each number - the screen reaches zero, the guards lift their hands, the lights go up, the crowd explodes, and the two women rush to the ring to come together for the 7th and likely final bout of the match and the tournament.
