The Birth of Catfighter
« on: September 01, 2015, 01:42:47 AM »
My name is Allison and I am currently a Phys Ed teacher in a local high school. I played very combative contact sports (soccer, lacross, field hockey) on the high school and college level all through school. There were incidents both on and off the field that gave me the reputation as a very tough bitch when i needed to be. Over the years, I've worked with some very good women (my Mom included) and now have some very good catfight and boxing skills. I've been involved in a Philly Boxing club for a couple of years (mostly while in college) thanks to my Aunt Diane and have been very competitive in every fight I have had...even against opponents who were considerably older than me with years more experience.

I am a second generation Catfighter but knew nothing about my Mom's other life till the summer of 2008 when I turned 15. That summer we had a house guest for two months, and her being there changed my life. Brittany was a 24 year old firefighter in my Dad's firehouse who had blown out her knee falling down a flight of stairs at a false alarm. She had no family in the area, and stayed with us as she recuperated. She had a big cast on her leg, and walked with crutches, but that didn't stop us from putting on our bikinis every day (that was also the summer my boobs showed up) and heading down to the beach. Brittany and I spent hours together that summer and it was almost like having a big sister! During the course of our many discussions, Brittany spilled the beans about my Mom's other life. She even revealed that she'd boxed my Mom and that my Mom had soundly beaten her! (She didn't mention, but Mom did, that the fight was because she had the hots for my Dad) Mom was very hostile towards her for spilling the beans, but seemed to cool down when she realized I was cool with it. After that, almost every day we'd pick out a fantasy opponent on the beach for my Mom to fight (sometimes even when she was on the beach with us) and discuss how the fight would go and who would win.

But, at 15, Mom was very against my involvement in anything but fantasy and put her foot down about venturing into the real fight world. Having always been a big girl and athletic, I however found a real attraction to fighting which my high school and college sports career only furthered. Thanks to other women, I was schooled in the basics early and most of my non school fights have not been with contemporaries but rather with older woman. To be honest, it has only been recently that my Mom has embraced my cat fighting. All through college, what I did was kept on the down low from my Mom and it was only via my Aunt that I was exposed to a lot of the world. The Aunt I speak of is the divorced wife of my Father's brother, and really is no longer a part of the general family. She and I had always had a close relationship and we have kept that outside the family. She and my Mom have had a tempestuous relationship at best, as it was my Mom who started her in the catfight world. When Aunt Di split with my Uncle there was some very bad feelings all around. By the way, my Aunt and Mom have had some knock down fights...and in several there was hostile feelings towards each other, so they were real fights. I think the fact that I did have this continuing relationship with Aunt Di made my Mom accept my fighting because she knew that had she not, Diane would just keep sponsoring me if for no other reason than to piss her off. Either way, I was fighting.
