ok, so after about 4 weeks of notifications, various forum posts, announcements and sticky messages, even direct emails it simply seems that a lot of producers simply do not read the rules and just "dump and run", i.e post their links and content without returning until they have more stuff to post. That's fine, but please read the rules. I have tried time and again to request recips be placed and it seems for a large section of producers, this hasn't hit home.

I have spent a fair amount of time trying to get this message across and will now draw a line under it.

Simply put, please ensure you have a reciprocal link in place if you wish to advertise your site on this forum.

If you don't have a reciprocal link in place, I will delete your post without further explanation.

This is effective from the moment I hit the post button in this message

I fully understand and appreciate the reasoning behind this stance, its just fair play after all.. however, please ensure the producers you delete actually do not have a link in place. I received such a notification for this issue not long ago, even though I've had several recip links to this site long before your arrival. Either it was missed or overlooked, who knows. however, I did move them to a more noticeable spot to make it easier for you to find when checking, hope that helps the matter.

Now, lets get out there and fight fair.. (but only when the ref it looking)..

I agree completely. I have made a couple of errors and I do attempt to go through the sites advertising to ensure a link is in place but, hands up, I have missed a few. I'm actually thinking of creating an "Approved producers" group that I can allocate all producers to and then only give that group the ability to create topics in this section. That way, all it needs is one check to ensure a link is in place and then thats that.

interested in thoughts on that.

Only approved producers could create a topic, everyone else could reply to it, etc.

Ahh hence why you're paid the big bucks to come up with the proper ideas for such things   Tis your site, your rules..  thems that wants to play will abide by the rules, thems that don't will go play some where else..  Its the fine balance of fair play and big stick wielding that is hard to master..
