The only thing to seperate Yvette and Denise is an age gap.  Two ladies fight each other to exhaustion in front of an appreciative audience.  This is a good temperered but extremely competitive match which, although I ill feeling between the ladies, provided a thrilling spectacle.  Perhaps he was thinking about the effect for the video but I have never understood why Jeff the ref sometimes feels it necessary to restart a match with women in a kneeling position.  The struggle between the two while they were standing was exciting enough.

Susan is always in control of a less experienced Helen but, although going behind very early on,  a determined Helen resists well after that.  The mutual headlocks near the end, contrasts the different body shapes of the ladies but as they lean into each other show that any woman can match any other iresspectine of height or size.

I attended several Festelle events including this, which saw Yvette fight Denise.   Yvette was always committed  and gave an exciting match.  At another meeting in which she featured there was a notice, Zena. In Zena's first match her opponent complained to Zena that she was hurting her. Zena's replied that she thought that was the idea.  Unfortunately Festelle really disappointed when they didnt match Zena(35) against Yvette(40).  It was a chance to provide an aggressive memorable battle.  I never understood why they never matched Anita against Danni.  Surely these fghters would have enjoyed the chance to beat other noted fighters.

YES Anita against Danni would have been something! but I thought they were at Festelle at different times???  Danni being the most recently?

Adzee,  You may be right but I checked on the excellent Wrestlewicki site and it is possible both girls were active at Festelle in 1995, although I cant break that down to months. Looking at their stats Dnni would have had an advantage of over a stone in weight andis 6 ins taller, but sheer agression and will to win would be shared by both women. Difficult to call a winner.

presenterfan - It would have been a explosive fight alright, both girls were really aggressive and could have seen it turning into a real fight    It Is a pity Festelle never made it happen even If it was to take Anita out of retirement

 One of my favorite fights from Festelle is the Anita vs Susanna match and you can see In Anita's corner Becky is there and it  looks like their friends? but you wouldn't think that with the couple of real boxing matches they had - knocking the crap out of each other,  I was told before they wouldn't have fought each other because they were friends, but if they were friends why did they do those real boxing matches? I would also have loved to have seen a Anita vs Becky wrestling/catfight match, can you enlighten me on their relationship?
