A: Hard to land in an effective location, especially if the opponent is dressed in ways that prevent hard contact with the area.
Pants and dresses often "tent" over the area and prevent solid contact.
B: They represent an escalation of the level of violence such that the fight is "all out" once you inject that element.
You may see more kneeing to the area in spontaneous fights than kicks. Its less risky, more efficient and less "rotten" than
an attempt at a shoe'd, leg-swingin' kick to the area.
It is still a normal and expected part of my arranged fights, regardless of the above.
