This is Part 1/2 of the 1st round of my Celebrity Boxing Tournament, the 2nd part will be uploaded in the next few days. Since I had eight matchups to write I opted for shorter rounds but the number of rounds will progressively get longer as the tournament goes on.
Joey King vs Emma Watson
Round 1: Joey broke the silence first with a couple of jabs and a left hook which Emma evaded and responded with a left-right-left hook series and an uppercut sending Joey off balance. She followed up with a hook to each side of Joey ribs and a swift uppercut to her belly bending the younger girl forwards. Two more uppercuts to her belly were enough to make Joey take a knee at the 30-second mark of round one. She beat the count steadily at five and was immediately greeted with a couple of jabs of the nose sending her to ropes. Emma continued the punishment with hook and jab combinations all over her face with an occasional cross in the mix. Joey was overwhelmed as she wasn’t able to set up an adequate defence resulting in a bloody nose and more than enough bruises by the end of round one.
Round 2: Losing round one big time didn't discourage Joey who threw herself straight to the front line at the bell but it didn't go much better as Emma's years of experience gave her an edge over her ambitious opponent. Joey was way too slow to land a punch on Emma and when she wasn't hitting air she was hitting Emma's gloves. When Emma went back on the offence Joey was to slow to defend herself resulting in more bruises around her midsection as Emma persisted without mercy. A couple of jabs and a right cross were enough to send Joey back to ropes as she turned into a punching bag. She kept her gloves up but it didn't matter for Emma who breached her defences with ease. Left-right, left-right she kept jabbing at Joey face as the younger girl cracked under the pressure and started sliding down the ropes. After a few more punches to Joey bleeding nose, she went down for the count again but didn't get up.
Winner: Emma Watson 
Anne Hathaway vs Margot Robbie
Round 1: The opening round went as expected for Anne, she got decimated at will by a younger and much more fit fighter. Margot went to work form the start, feinting when Anne threw a right hook, then responded with a left one landing on Anne's cheek. She kept up the pressure with consistent left-right jabs to Anne's face keeping her on high alert throughout. Soon Anne found herself at the ropes and receiving a major beating with nowhere to go. With her arms raised high to protect her face, Margot went downstairs with uppercuts attaching to Anne's hips and ribs. Despite being easily outclassed Anne took the beating well and with no protest but lost round one big time.
Round 2: The second round played out the same; Margot in charge and Anne being tossed around the ring. From mid-ring to ropes and back to mid-ring as Margot ragdolls the older girl via hook and uppercut combinations leaving more than a few marks on her face and body. Anne turns on the spot when hit, keeping her arms high, her fighting spirit still intact. She resorts to ducking down, dodging and pivoting, she's taking a few hits in the process but ultimately defending well, with no offensive plays what so ever causing her to lose the second round as well.
Round 3: Shutout for Robbie, she knows that Anne's not going to attack her so she gives up on defending all together and goes on a full-on attack. She smoothly works the jab, picking precise punches sticking to Anne's nose and mouth. A minute into the jabbing session Margot cuffs a big left hook to Anne’s cheek sending her down for the count. She beats the count at seven but doesn’t look so good on the way up; arms low, mouth open and a slight limp. It didn't matter to Margot who went straight back to work via a couple of uppercuts to Anne’s gut followed up with a couple of jabs at the bell.
Round 4: Anne is starting to bust up, she's taken way too many hits from Margot and is having trouble navigating around the ring. Margot moves in ensuring Anne stays in her corner with a couple of hooks to her ribs and a right uppercut to her chin. She stays busy beating the defenceless brunette. Nothing aside from an occasional moan coming from Anne, she's stuck on the receiving end a beating with her arms hanging low leaving her open for whatever Margot desired. Anne starts looking disheartened, there is only so much she can take before going down. She starts sliding down the ropes, goes down for a second time, this time staying down.
Winner: Margot Robbie
Emily Blunt vs Olivia Munn
Round 1: Emily comes out in a hurry, throwing jabs at Olivia, she lands a few but eventually, Olivia avoids Emily's hasty efforts and keeps distance, relying on accuracy and picking her punches. She lands a few neat jabs to Emily's midsection as the British girl lowers her arms way too late and Olivia lights up her face with a cheeky right uppercut of the chin. Emily retaliates with a late right hook missing Olivia by a mile, she responds with a few more jabs to Emily's body before backing out again. Emily goes after her but only gets baited into a strong left hook stunning her in place as Olivia steps to front deploying jab-hooks combinations until the bell stops her.
Round 2: Emily looks to take the fight to Olivia again but she's stopped dead in her tracks as a right cross and powerful haymaker drive her to ropes where Olivia retains the pressure. She has the brunette wincing in pain as rapid jabs knock her head backwards causing a bloody lip. A few more seconds under the punishment turns Emily's legs to jelly as she goes down to all fours. She beats the count at eight but Oliva's back on her as soon as the ref clears it. Emily escapes via clinch, keeping distance from Olivia until the bell.
Round 3: Emily rises slowly from her stool but her heart's still there as she looks to take the fight to Olivia again. She obliges but Emily's punches fall short as Olivia's numerous and harder punches send her down for the count a second time. She rises bravely at seven, not much coming from the battered Brit as Olivia has it all her way now. She thumps Emily's body with a couple of speedy jabs, then moves to her face with hooks, knocking her head back with each punch. A few more punches finish her off as a right uppercut sends Emily down flat on her back and she gets counted out.
Winner: Olivia Munn
Gemma Arterton vs Hayley Atwell
Round 1: Hayley organises, sets up her defence while Gemma rushes her full speed. She manages to push Hayley to ropes but she doesn't stay there long, gets out via clinch and draws the fight to mid-ring. Gemma rushes her again, runs straight into a right cross that rings her head as Hayley goes to body with a couple of uppercuts. Gemma's still aggressive, refusing to back down, swinging lefts and rights as soon as she gets in range, mostly missing. Hayley's relaxed; hands at chest, elbows in, waiting for her opponent to strike only to pick her apart at flanks outclassing her at the bell.
Round 2: British friskiness continues; Gemma chasing Hayley across the ring while Hayley keeps her cool, waiting patiently and striking with precise punches hurting her opponent slowly but surely. Hayley approaches her opponent cautiously thrusting a left hook to her belly, following up with a snug uppercut of her chin as Gemma fires a pre-emptive right hand, hitting air as Hayley responds with another uppercut shaking her feet as she issues more punishment. First bombing her with a couple of hooks to her already bruised body, then following up with precise jabs to her face. Luckily the bell comes to Gemma's aid before Hayley issue's more punishment.
Round 3: Gemma comes out with a desperate look on her face as Hayley goes to work. Gemma fires a couple of weak hands to Hayley who walks straight into them, barely feeling anything. She responds with a couple of haymakers and a series of jabs into Gemma's battered face. She drives Gemma to ropes with minimal effort starting a relentless series of hooks as Gemma fails to defend herself. A few more seconds under the pressure the ref moves in, stops the fights before Gemma gets injured.
Winner: Hayley Atwell
