Post fight interviews:
Esther Williams 49 vs Joan Collins 32: {Pundits 4:1}
Esther jumped all over Joan right from the starting bell and never let up. She gave Joan the 5th worst beating this round. They pundits favored Esther strongly.
GF: Esther, you have won your last three fights, each one by a bigger score. Are you hitting your stride? You didn’t have any trouble with Joan.
Esther Williams: It took me awhile to learn how to be nasty enough to win a catfighter against these real bitches. If the tournament was held again I would be leading for sure. Joan is all mouth but can’t fight worth a shit. She is slow, weak, and only goes for the hair and rolling around. She has no concept of how to apply a submission hold.
GF: Joan, you may have the sharpest, wittiest, and nasties tongue around and are known for being a top bitch. Yet, you don’t do so well in physical fights. You heard what Esther said, you’re all talk but can’t back it up.
Joan Collins: Those women are just jealous b because they lose every argument for me. I am a bitch only to those who deserve it, being a lady with class who hates to resort to physical violence. Let these other women act like they belong in the gutter. Linda Evans is a perfect example. I must admit I do like scratching their eyes out and ripping their hair out as long as I don’t have to get too dirty (with dirt, stupid, not the kind of dirty you are thinking of..
Rita Hayworth vs 38 Angie Dickinson 45 : {Pundits 3:2}
This was a close fight for a long time with both women exchanging scissors. Angie pulled ahead at the end with her powerful legs.
GF: Rita, you suffered another heartbreaking loss after fighting Angie evenly for most of the fight. Do you think your age is playing a big factor in these fight?
Rita Hayworth: [It maybe some factor but not a big one. I am still in great shape! [She does a pirouette to show off her body and legs.] Give Angie credit. She has some very powerful legs which she clamps on you again and again until you can no longer bear it.
GF: Angie, who would believe such gorgeous gams could be so powerful and deadly.
Angie Dickinson: It isn’t so surprising. My legs are shapely and sexy because they are well toned and have good muscle definition. I work on that a lot. But my arms are strong also and I use them to get by rival trapped in my legs. But Rita is so sweet. I took it easy on her at first but then decided I better apply the pressure before I lost.
Mitzi Gaynor 35vs Marilyn Monroe 48: {Pundits 3:2}
The pundits favored Mitzi slightly and one would have expected this fight to be close based on that. But Marilyn thumped Mitzi after a slow start. Marilyn was true to her words and draped Mitzi over the barrel for a good old fashioned spanking.
GF: Mitzi, maybe I shouldn’t admit this but I am a big fan of yours and always thought of you as a great fighter. Yet you have suffered quite a few bad beatings in a row. What’s going on?
Mitzi Gaynor: .Damned if I know. I guess I just keep making stupid mistakes or am just unlucky. I am embarrassed get bet over a barrel and spanked my Marilyn. I would have bet money I would be the one doing the spanking as I don’t see anything about her that makes a good fighter
GF: Marilyn, the experts favored Mitzi but you ended up humiliating her. Can you tell us how you did it?
Marilyn Monroe: Hidden in this sexy body is a real tigress. Just because you are beautiful and sexy doesn’t mean you can’t fight. People don’t know how hard I work out and train to keep this figure. Fighters like Mitzi think they can overpower me but I have muscles. They are just covered with sexy flesh. I’ve been a fighter and a scraper all my life, in case you didn’t know
Sophia Loren vs 40 Ursula Andress 44 : {Pundits 3:3}
Sophia jumper Ursula and had her in real trouble. Ursula fought back to even and her momentum carried her past Sophia to win going away although it was the third closest fight this round. The experts were split but the biggest surprise to me was barbosa picking Anita to win. Sophia didn’t hold up her end of the bargain for Anita to move into first place as badAss had predicted.
GF: Sophia, both you and Claudia seemed to jump the gun to get an advantage over your “Nordic” blonde foes. I though once you had a foe down like you did Ursula she would never come back. Did you let up or what?
Sophia Loren: I so wanted to destroy this blonde Swiss bimbo that I got over anxious. I got careless, no other way to explain it. I knocked her down a few times with my more powerful punches. But then dropped by guard and she got in a lucky punch. I got whoosey and she was able to hit me several times. Even then she couldn’t knock me out but only won with a TKO. Hey, what’s a cut eye or a bleeding nose to us Sicilians? But you people are sissies and scared of a little blood. You stopped the fight before I could knock her out.
GF: Ursula, do you think Sophia would have knocked you out had we let the fight continue?
Ursula Andress: She would have been severely beaten had the fight been allowed to continue. Sophia should be grateful that Carol threw in the towel. She can punch and she put me down with two sucker punches before the bell rang. Then she knocked me down while I was getting up and almost put me out. But I got away and then held her off defensively until I covered. Sophia is all temper and rage but has no technique and no staying power. I finally took control and it was only a matter of time before she would have been out cold.words
Honor Blackman 45 vs Brigitte Bardot: 38 {Pundits 5:0}
Brigitte came out with her quick, high kicks to try and take Honor out early. But Honor was able to use her martial arts training to not only block those kicks but get ahold of Brigitte’s leg. She held onto it and put Brigitte on her back. Then worked her leg over with a step-over-toe-hold, ankle twisting and knuckles to the thighs and calves. Brigitte was forced to admit defeat.
GF: Honor, was Brigitte tougher or easier than you expected?
Honor Blackman: Not sure how to answer that. As you can see I was laughing so hard at her trying to look intimidating that I hurt my sides. She caught me with the first kick while I was still holding my stomach. But there was nothing behind it and I laughed even harder. I weak French babe like her tough? Giving that she lasted longer than two minutes I would have to say she was tougher than I thought. Hee hee hee hee hee.
GF: Brigitte, you had the misfortune of fighting Claudia, Jane Fonda, Stella, Sophia, Anita, Kim and Ursula right in a row. You barely lost to Claudia and gave Jane a tough fight. But those fights must have taken a toll on your body and spirit. Without that schedule how do you think you would have done against Martha, Joi, and Honor?
Brigitte Bardot: Martha is too old and slow. I would have destroyed her. Joi is skinny and weak but can really pull hair. I would have fucked hr to win a sex fight had I not been so tired. Honor is a cold English fish, too ugly to have sex fight with. She would have been the toughest but she relies too much on judo to be a real catfighter. I think I would have beaten her.
Stella Stevens 27 vs Kim Novak 56 : {Pundits 1:5}
Kim had a tough fight with Claudia although she wasn’t pushed to the limit. Still that had to have taken a lot of punishment and not have been really fresh. But Stella had even tougher fights with Sophia and Anita before facing Kim. Perhaps this is why Kim dominated Stella in every facet of the fight, beating Stella at her own game – hairpulling and slapping. .
GF: Stella, there is no way to say this but Kim gave you a real whipping even beating you at your own catfighting strengths. Marilyn says Kim is better than Anita. Do you agree and how does she compare to Sophia?.
Stella Stevens: Anita fights close to Kim’s style, calculating and methodical. Anita is stronger and heavier and will beat Kim if it becomes a test of strength or body on top of body fight. Kim has better technique, is a little faster, and is smarter to even things up. What surprised me is that Kim is the harder hairpuller so I give a slight edge to Kim. She looks so sweet and is so genuinely nice but don’t let that fool you when it comes to fighting. I faced Sophia when I was fresh and Kim after two hard fights so it is not as easy to judge. I would love to say that Kim will win because she is blonde and American. I think Sophia is stronger than Kim and certainly is a lot nastier and more vicious. Sophia will win unless Kim can somehow take her out of her game. Kim is smart enough to do it but I think lacks the physical capabilities to do what her mind tells her to do against the bigger Sophia.
GF: Kim, Stella gave Claudia and Anita a rough time but you handled her with no problem, giving her the worst beating of anyone this round. Marilyn says you are better than Anita? Stella say you will most likely take Anita but lose to Sophia? What do you think?
Kim Novak: First, you shouldn’t put too much into my lop sided win over Stella. She had two hard fights and lost both. That left her physically weakened but I know she can come back for that. The worst thing is it destroyed her confidence and made her doubt herself. I made it a point to get her down and in trouble early which added to her self-doubt. We are all close in fighting ability so doubts can be your downfall. Having said that, naturally I must say that I will beat both Anita and Sophia and believe it. I hope I don’t sound cocky but I know I must believe. I feel if I do my best and fight my fight I will come out on top. But there are no guarantees. The fights will be very close and any slight mistake or bad luck could be the difference. I like my chances against Anita because I am fresh and she took a lot of punishment from Claudia. Sophia will be the toughest one because I fight her after Anita. And then there is Ursula!!! I will need a month to recover after fighting Anita, Sophia, and Ursula one after another. Hope you didn’t detect any hints of doubt in my voice, but I must also be realistic.
Jeanne Crain 28 vs Diana Rigg 54 : {Pundits 1:4}
Diana was heavily favored which proved to be reality. Jeanne was tossed around like a rag doll as Diana gave her a horrible beating only being topped by the one Kim gave Stella. I think Jeanne was thrown so high and landed so many times on her rump she won’t sit down for a week.
GF: Jeanne, I see you rubbing your butt. Personally I though you had the experience to put up a good fight and realisticman is impressed by your legs. Why did you have such a bad time against Diana.
Jeanne Crain: I guess I would have to say a poor game plan. My intent was to grab her by the hair and pull her head in between my legs. And realisticman is right, they are very strong even if on the slender side. But you can’t grab hair and scissors anything when you are flying through the air and all your legs can trap is air. I need to find a way to get in close and get my foe down where I can effectively use my legs, either to buck them off me, to straddle them, or to crush them.words
GF: Diana, it must feel good to have gotten two victories in a row. First a good victory over a tough Yvonne Craig and now a thrashing of Jeanne. What is your overall view?
Diana Rigg: Boy, that was some sort of left-handed compliment. I thought I was a good catfighter but some of these women are at another level. That was eye opening to me. I resorted to try and use my judo skills but they are not well adapted to catfighting. Now I am learning how to add catfighting skills to my martial arts. Anyone else who faces me is in for a real beating.
Martha Hyer vs 35 Mamie Van Doren 47 : {Pundits 2:3}
Mamie well all out in her most vicious catfighting. She was at her aggressive best and seemed to catch Martha off guard who wasn’t expecting such a aggressive attack so early on. Martha managed to get back in the fight to some extent so it wasn’t in the top five beating. But Mamie had her fun dragging Martha around by the hair for at least ten minutes.
GF: Martha, you are so elegant and sophisticated but I have seen where you can get down and dirty in a catfight. It is as if you flip a switch. This time it seemed to take too long for that switch to flip. Mamie got the catfighting jump on you and kept the advantage. Were you not ready for her?
Martha Hyer: I had never fought Mamie and didn’t know her moves. Most of my rivals and I have a period where we are cautious and feel each other out. Otherwise a brash attack can get you into trouble. I have to hand it to Mamie. She beats many bigger women by coming out so aggressively. And she knows what she is doing so she doesn’t make rash mistakes. In case anyone is wondering why she has such a good record when she is so physically overmatched in many fights – that is why.
GF: Mamie, you seen like you really hate the women you fight. Does that leave a bad feeling between you two afterward?
Mamie Van Doren: I do psych myself up before a fight by thinking of my opponent as my worst, hated enemy ever. That gets the juices flowing and allows me to come out with claws flashing. But it is only before the fight and during the fight. After the fight I can be friends if they don’t take what I do in the fight too personally. See how gracious Martha is now. We will probably go out for a few drinks together afterwards and I will even treat her. But it isn’t quite reciprocal. Sometimes when I lose I keep my hatred up thinking how I will rip her apart the next time. Guess I start psyching myself up right after the fight. Does that make me a good winner and a poor loser? Let’s just say I hate losing and leave it at that.words
