There are interesting comments on here regarding what constitutes an an entertaining, acceptable fight. For as long as I can remember the thought of women or girls fighting just excites me beyond measure. Here's my conundrum. I like to see females fight but I hate to see them hurt or bloodied. I'm glad to say it is possible for women to fight hard without getting hurt other than soreness or bruising which women who play rugby experience every weekend. The concept of placing two women in a room, no referee and letting them fight was mind blowing to me and when I saw the fight between Mary and Theresa, I felt it would never be bettered. Both in black underwear, a personal choice, they removed their bras and flew at each other woman to woman. Pushing, pulling and dragging each other round by the hair was exciting enough but there was a section in which both had each other's hair with one hand and with the other hand were pounding each other. It was breath taking and at that point it seemed clear the ladies weren't there because of fight money, they were fighting to see who would win, and we're fighting like women. Mary looked delighted doing her winning pose but the fight was that close a rematch happened a few days later. I saw the full version years ago but the clip I find now ends with both ladies bent at the waist with Mary shouting for Theresa to let go of her hair, even though she is pulling Theresa's. Great fights, both.
On the internet you hear shouts of no hair pulling, it's pussy. To me it's an enevitable and exciting part of females fights. These spectators at real fights would be better shouting no head stomping or banging on concrete, no kicking in the face. Perhaps I look back through rose coloured glasses and remember days when slapped and didn't punch, kicked thighs and locked together and grappled and when a fight was won it stopped, there was no gratuitous violence.
