70's Apartment Wrestling and Catfights
« on: June 27, 2023, 08:36:17 PM »
I have a few 70's Apartment Wrestling and Catfights in my collection but know very little about the 70's Catfight world, I remember seeing old 8mm videos sold on Ebay many years back but never wanted to take the time to figure out how to transfer them onto VHS, did anyone buy those 8mm films? Anyone know the fighters and videos companies back in the day? I think most of the films came out of LA.  The old California Supreme videos would run 70's matches in between their new matches. Would love to learn more about the Asian fighter Su Ling?

My brother had a ton of that eras magazines, and even though primarily shot on 8 mm a majority were also put on cassette vhs for resale. As for Su Ling I am almost positive she was contracted to Curtis DuPont films which became triumph or other way around. But either way it’s nearly impossible to locate their stuff anymore. The original DuPont studios vanished after late 1980’s . Among their list of fighters were Kelli Stewart , Candy Samples, Hanna Vieck, and RoseMary Lorenz . I think all but Candy are still alive and Kelli was big on Napali videos till they lost fan base for shooting the same looping scenes and charging people for an hour long dvd but after taking out the loops you really got a 30 minute or less dvd .

I remember seeing Curtis DuPont videos for sale on Scott L Sales site back in the day.  I never bought any of the 70's stuff because I thought it was all fake scripted style matches and was just getting into DWW at the time. I have seen a few good 70's matches but mostly they do seem scripted.

Annie Owens and Kitten Natividad also worked for dupont with California Supreme "Sally".  Knew Kenny when he lived in St. Louis.  He knew a lot of big busted ladies.  Did customs as well but pricey.

Has Rosemary Lorenz ever surfaced anywhere like on Facebook?  I've not seen any sign she's still with us.

The 8mm were a pain. The projector was bulky and noisy. Most of the "loops" were very short and featured girls in bras and panties play slapping each other. The VCR really brought catfights into the living room. Some 8mm were transferred over, but most were silent and poor quality.
Su Ling appears in an IIsa of the SS movie. Lots of skin, and she's billed a Su Ling. Should be able on DVD, but she doesn't fight in the film

I did take a look at that Nazi movie and always thought it was up there for movies that had great storyline for Catfight but never happens. Su Ling Vs the Nazi Blonde girl would have been amazing Catfight!
