Heh Girls,
Time for some more girl chat and this subject is a personal favourite of mine - Catfights on principle. What I mean by this is catfights you feel obliged to have, even if you don’t want to. So let me give you perhaps the classic example:
“A friend of yours has been cheating with your boyfriend / husband and you’re the last person it seems to know about the affair. You’ve been humiliated and whispered about for weeks.”
Ok, so your friend has with thought of malice stolen your man. Do you let this slight stand or do you grab the slut by her hair and kick her skank ass. My answer would be yes!
But what if your friend in question is taller than you, stronger and deep down in your heart you know she would kick your ass? Now what? Do you back down or do you fight her anyway? Even if you know you will lose. Once again I would say yes, I would rather fight and lose than walk away and show the rest of my friends / work colleagues that when push comes to shove, you can walk all over me.
Now this isn’t the only example, another would be regarding our children. Imagine another mum smacking your 6 year old daughter publicly by the school gates in front of you. Personally this is for me the most powerful example of a catfight on principle, no matter who this mum is - the bitch hit your child! This cannot go unanswered can it?
So what do we think girls? Is catfights on principle a thing? Or perhaps my sense of honour is leading me astray? Also has anyone ever found themselves in a catfight, simply because you just felt obliged to fight - even if you didn’t really want to?
Xoxo
Kate
