Two women fighting for money one because she loves it the other because she needs the money. attached as a pdf as well as its easier to read that way
The taxi pulled into the kerb "here you go luv!" the cabbie said turning in his
seat as Pauline peered out of the window at a large Victorian house that sat
back a little from the road. "That'll be twelve quid." She passed him a couple
of notes "keep the change" she said as she stepped out into the cool evening
air. Standing on the path for a moment she checked the address once more, it
was the right place but it looked deserted. Shrugging her shoulders and
glancing around, before she walked up the path and pressed the doorbell, all
the while thinking it looked a bit better than the crappy warehouse where she
had fought the last time. Tonight she would be fighting someone new,
someone brought in from overseas but she was confident she would be
walking away with the winner takes all prize money. Eventually the door
opened and a shaven headed gorilla in a badly fitting suit ushered her inside
"Dump your gear in there" he pointed to a side room off the hallway "the
other girl ain't here yet I'll come get you when she arrives" he then
disappeared off down the dimly lit corridor towards the back off the house.
Glancing round the room like the hallway lit by a single low wattage bulb. The
wallpaper was peeling and there were damp patches below the windows. The
only furnishing a battered and dusty sofa that looked like it had been
recovered from a builders skip. Dropping her bag on the sofa, she sat down
beside it. She was nervous and more than a little anxious it was the same
before every fight, she had been fighting for a long time now at first it was for
the excitement, and the winnings when she won weren’t bad. Tonight though
win or lose she would be leaving empty handed, borrowing money from the
men that set up these fights had been a big mistake she couldn’t keep up the
repayments and now was forced to fight whenever and whomever they
wanted just to pay off the debt.
“Better get ready” she said to herself and started to take off her street clothes
before pulling on an old pair of jeans and slipping a plain white sleeveless top
over her head. Reaching back into her bag she pulled out a pair of soft leather,
moccasin style shoes and slipped them onto her feet. Pulling her dyed blonde
hair back into a ponytail she sat down again to wait.
Erika turned her motor cycle into the unfamiliar street counting the houses
and then pulling up outside the once grand Victorian house. She pushed up the
darkened visor of her helmet to get a better look. She smiled remembering a
similar house in New Orleans where she had fought and beaten her last
opponent the memory of her opponent sitting on the floor face bloodied was
still fresh. She had beaten the best America had to offer her and was now in
England confident of doing the same and adding to her growing bank balance.
Switching off the engine, she kicked down the stand and slipped gracefully off
the seat of the Harley Davidson chopper that she had brought with her from
the states and bought with the proceeds of her fights and money she had won
betting on herself. This time she hadn’t bothered to lay down any cash on
herself the odds were too short to make it worthwhile the soft English bitch
she was about to fight a virtual unknown to the global betting syndicate that
set up these matches. Taking of her helmet, she shook out her shoulder length
blonde hair and stowed it on the luggage box on the back of the bike. Walking
down the path to the front door, she moved with the lithe grace of a ballerina.
Apart from the heavy bike boots she was ready to fight a cropped sleeveless
top exposing the tracery of tribal tattoos on her arms and belly a pair of
expensive training shoes dangling from her left hand she pressed the door bell.
Once more the gorilla answered the door “You’re late!” he grunted “but at
least you look ready” Erika treated him to a dazzling smile. “I’ll take you
downstairs then fetch the other one “ the gorilla grunted and lead the way
down the hall stopping at a door beneath the staircase. He pushed open the
door “down there and wait,” he pointed down a stair short flight of steps to a
brightly lit basement. Erika smiled at him again and with an exaggerated sway
to her hips pushed past him and walked down the steps. At the bottom she
glanced around spotting the small, closed circuit television cameras placed at
various points round the room, they were the reason the basement lights were
so bright unlike the rest of the house. Erika had seen a set up like this before
this fight would be streamed to the internet by the organisers. With no crowd
present, the chances of the place being raided by the police were
infinitesimally small it also allowed the promoters to broadcast round the
world increasing the amount of cash they could make from betting. All round
the world men and women in the know would be sitting in front of their
computers or even their fifty-inch plasma televisions to watch the action
unfold their cell phones at hand to up their bets at the last moment.
Erika didn’t have to wait long before she heard the door at the top of the stairs
open and then the soft footsteps of her opponent as she made away down to
the makeshift arena. Out of sight the gorilla sat down on at the top of the steps
and pushed an earpiece into his misshapen right ear.
Pauline walked out into the middle of the brightly lit basement to see her
opponent for the first time “Tattoos!” she thought, “they always have tattoos,
and tattoos don’t make you tough!” Rolling her neck, she clenched and
unclenched her fists eager to get this started. Erika stood almost slouching
regarding Pauline with a critical eye “Strong looking arms but a bit soft looking
round the middle going to enjoy making this bitch cry as I re arrange her
looks.” She said to herself,”this is going to be too easy!”
“When you’ve finished preening yourselves ......Fight!” ordered the gorilla.
Pauline brought up her fists and started to move towards Erika her eyes fixed
on her opponents. Erika clenched her fists and shifted her weight slightly but
made no move to raise her hands. Stepping closer Pauline set herself to attack,
but Erika moved first suddenly springing forward and hooking her left fist hard
into Pauline’s side make her grunt in pain but already stabbing out her own
right fist at Erika’s face whilst catching a swinging right from her younger
opponent on her left forearm. Erika bobbed her head to one side dodging the
older woman’s right. “Shit she’s fast” flashed through Pauline’s brain. Erika
ducked forward throwing another left at Pauline’s ribs this time Pauline was
already moving to her own left taking some of the sting out of the punch.
Flicking her left at Erika’s head the older blonde stepped in behind her jab
throwing a hard straight right at the tattoos on Erika’s belly. Erika grinned as
she deflected Pauline’s left but it was short lived and changed quickly to a look
of pain as the Englishwoman’s right fist drove home “Bitch!” she snarled
lunging forward to hammer her left at Pauline’s chest her right hand flashing
out fast behind it at the older woman’s face. Pain shot through Pauline’s body
as the hard knuckles of Erika’s left hand sank deeply into her breast. Letting
out an involuntary squeal she narrowly dodged the right Erika’s knuckle
scrapping across her right cheek. Still going forward despite the pain, she
snapped another left at the cocky younger woman’s face and launched a right
upper cut towards her chest. Once more Erika dodged the left coming toward
her face but couldn’t stop the right that drove up into the underside of her left
breast. Erika’s face contorted in pain “fucking slut!” she hissed through
clenched teeth, fighting the urge to clutch at her bruised breast. Eyes watering
in pain Erika threw a fast left right at Pauline’s body making the older woman
gasp but not able to stop her forcing Erika back towards the wall. Pauline’s left
fist flashed out landing flush on Rika’s nose sending her head flying back and
instantly starting blood flowing from her nostrils. Before she could reset her
defence Pauline’s right crashed against the side of her head staggering her
sideways, blindly Erika lashed out with a wild backhand, which whipped
painfully across Pauline’s breasts. “Cow!” Pauline grunted slamming another
left then right at Erika’s head this time the younger fighter managed to block
the left but the right slammed home painfully around her left ear. Erika’s head
turned sideways with the impact and suddenly everything was going blurry.
Pauline knew she dare not let up, her left driving deep into Erika’s belly
bending her forward away from the wall followed by another right uppercut to
the younger fighter’s already throbbing left breast “OOOeewww” Erika cried
out this time unable to stop herself from clutching at her battered bosom and
half turning away. Pauline kept after her raining in blows to her head and body
drawing more blood from Erika’s nose and spraying scarlet droplets over both
fighters. A right hammered into Erika’s left eye blinding her as she fell back
against the wall desperately trying to cover up. Pauline wasn’t going to let up
and drove her right, hard, into Erika’s kidneys. Desperately trying to get away
from Pauline’s punishing fists, Erika lunged forward wrapping her arms round
her tormentor and trapping Pauline’s arms at her sides. “Get off bitch!” Pauline
shoved hard with her legs ramming Erika’s back into the wall. “Give it up
bitch!” Pauline snarled as Erika stumbled into the wall “No!” Erika gasped in
reply then spat a glob of blood and saliva into Pauline’s face. “Fucking cow!”
Pauline shrieked throwing herself at Erika raining punches of on the dazed and
bloodied blonde. Erika’s knees buckled under the onslaught and final right
hammering into her neck sent her sprawling to the concrete floor. Still angry
Pauline cuffed the blood and spit from her face with the back of her hand and
aimed a kick at Erika’s midriff.
“Back off!” Barked the gorilla standing up on the stairs. Pauline did as she was
ordered her breath coming in short gasps her hands grazed bruised and in
pain, she watched waiting to see if Erika would rise or give up.
Bravely Erika pushed herself back to her feet and stumbled backwards to lean
up against the wall. Before she could get her hands up the older woman was
on her driving punches into her battered face and body. Erika slowly slipped
down the wall her face a bloody mess and toppled sideways to the hard
concrete this time she was out cold. The gorilla now stepped fully into the
basement and quickly went to check Erika, speaking into a hands free
microphone as he satisfied himself that Erika was still breathing. Pauline stood
shaking as the anger and fear generated by fighting ebbed away from her
body. She had won the fight and the money but would it be enough for her to
get free of the gangsters that controlled her life.
