It would be a nice improvement if members "online" and members "in chat" were listed alphabetically.  I twould be much easierr to notice specific members.

Would actually be a waste of time since more than half who are online never come into the chat, they just lurk in the background

Yeah I never got the people who obsessed over who are online unless they were planning to forum message them to death.

As for the chat list, sorry can't be done as far as I know. And to be honest, I don't see how it is that much of a help. It isn't like the chat has 1000 people in it.
