This sums it up pretty good, but I agree the real answer if doing this would be to create a new character to inhabit that universe.  You could do a couple episodes where you have cameos of Xena and Hercules or other characters from the previous shows.  Joxer anyone....

Sure thing! One of my favorite shows. Wish there had been more real catfights, but Zena is not known as a catfight, but a fighter.
