Just remember, Memorial Day is the national holiday to honor those who died while serving; Veterans Day is the holiday to honor many of those who served. I do refer to it in that manner because all who served (Army Reserve & National Guard) are not considered veterans. If you were never activated for more than 180 days you are not a veteran. My dad served seven years in the Reserve but was never activated over 180 days so he is not considered a veteran under the law.
