Angie Dickinson 42 vs Lisa Gaye 27: Only barbosa thought that Lisa would win. Angie's first few fights were against some of the toughest foes and the fights took their toll on her body. Since then she has been getting stronger and stronger and lately has destroyed weaker opponents. Lisa beat some weak opponents lately but Angie is not a weak opponent in spite of her record. She delighted in twisting her award winning legs around Lisa's sexy legs and pressuring the hell out of them for the victory.
Rita Hayworth 40 vs Jeanne Crain 29: Two of the weaker women with Jeanne being the weakest. Jeanne though she could get her first win over the weak and aging Rita. Realisticman thought she could use her dancer's legs to do it. Rita proved all the other pundits correct by slapping Jeanne all over the place. You can't use your legs when you are being yanked about by the hair and getting continually slapped. Once weakened, Jeanne fell victim to an embarrassing scissors as Rita used her "old legs" to crush Jeanne who is not so young herself.
Ava Gardner 33 vsDiana Dors 36: A classic brunette vs blonde catfight in a traditional catfight. There were predictions each way. It seemed to be Diana's younger age and slight size advantage against Ava's experience, cunning, and nastiness. Some thought that Ava was also the stronger of the two. Diana showed early she was equal in strength and nastiness to Ave. his became a very even, vicious catfight. It was the fourth closest fight this round. It turned out to be who could dish out the most punishment and who could take the most pain. Even this made it a close fight for Diana could hurt Ava more but Ava could had the greater pain tolerance. Diana was fortunate to get Ava's neck between her tights and force a quick submission right at the end.
Tina Louise 38 vs Diana Rigg 32: In spite of her record, Diana has the speed and fighting skills to beat anyone and a slower Tina would appear to be perfect fodder for her skills. Tina has some of the longest legs around and she appears very stately - giving the appearance of being much taller and bigger than Diana. Vasago believed Diana's martial arts skills would be sufficient to topple Tina. The others favored Tina's experience and a few gave her credit for the greater upper body strength. The fight went as all indicated with Diana flipping and tossing Tina around early. But she couldn't put her away. Eventually Tina got Diana down where she could work her over and get the victory.
Barbara Eden 24 vs Ursula Andress 46: djcrash was brave enough to predict an upset by Barbara. All the others thought it would be one--sided. Barbara had no chance against the fast, strong, skilled Ursula. The beating would have been worse but Ursula did take pity on Barbara when she pleaded with tears in her eyes for Ursula to stop.
Brigitte Bardot 33 vsKim Novak 38: There are those who are comparing how Kim, Anita, and Ursula are doing compared to common foes to predict which of them is best. Marilyn gave the edge to Kim after fighting both. Expectations were that Kim would try to destroy Brigitte worse than Anita did to prove she is tougher than Anita. So many were surprised when Brigitte gave Kim all she could handle in a match that was back and forth until very near the end. Brigitte slowed Kim up early with some kicks from her longer legs that bruised Kim's ribs. But Kim's strength and determination won out in the end. After posing in a friendly embrace with Brigitte before the fight there are Kim's detractors who are saying she doesn't have the killer instinct to win it all. Kim just smiles and answers "I like tough and close fights. It teaches me more and gives me experience in pulling out tough matches. You don't learn much when you dominate your opponent or are dominated. Also my love to goldenerafan who said such nice things about me."
Jayne Mansfield 39 vs Esther Williams 32: Jayne seems to have a chip on her shoulder after being called a cream puff. This has made her more aggressive against her opponents and she has won her last nine fights before this one and with some close loses to very though opponents. Esther Williams should be upset by her record but seems to be taking things more in stride. Perhaps she is too laid back. On paper physically she should clobber Jayne even with Jayne training with a body builder. All the pundits said Jayne was too weak for Esther which further riled Jayne's feathers. Jayne wanted to prove them all wrong and so muscled up with Esther. But Esther proved stronger and so Jayne, who has one of the highest IQs around. outsmarted Esther and used her strength against her. Jayne manages the upset although she claims it is not an upset.
Martha Hyer 35 vs Rhonda Fleming 34: All the pundits said this could be the closest fight this round and they were correct. All picked Rhonda to edge Martha except realisticman who picked the eventually winner, Martha. I consider this a fight between the two most elegant and sophisticated women as far as a pair is concerned. A truly even fight that went back and forth and back and forth. Whether it be stand up hairpulling and slapping; rolling around on the ground for position; applying painful holds like arm bars, leg locks, headlocks, or hammerlocks; each did damage to the other. The fight was even as the two neared exhaustion. Suddenly Rhonda connected with a right hook as predicted by Vasago. Martha went down but not out as Vasago thought. Rhonda also collapsed from exhaustion but Martha was able to roll out of the way. Then climb on Rhonda to get the credit for the pin as both women passed out, Rhonda just before Martha.
