Reese Witherspoon suffered humiliation in her attempt to handle her victorious opponent Gwendoline Christie through a second wrestling match teaming up with her daughter. After immensely tall and sturdy Gwendoline had already punished diminutive Reese in the ring once she now proceeded to defeat not only her alone but just as easily the mother and daughter team, wedging the two decidedly smaller women in iron headlocks, one under each arm.
Reese has sworn to find a new opponent whom she will dominate as she has done with a number of rivals before, but for now she has been invited to turn up at a female wrestling event not as a participant but as one of the audience.
Pop princess
Katy Perry finds herself in a similar position of having to redeem herself and save her reputation by winning a fight as Reese Witherspoon, although Reese Witherspoon merely faces the embarrassment of having lost to the same opponent twice while Katy Perry has, by fans as well as critics, been openly confronted with the fact that she has only won 27% of all her fights so far. She was keen on challenging a woman to fight her in the ring, and an opportunity to do so arose when she met actress
Blake Lively at a party and these two ladies compared their boobs. Katy, on discovering that her bust was one cup size bigger than Blake's, mocked the other woman
which made the actress furious. When Blake slapped Katy's face the pop princess gleefully told her there was a way of settling this - but perhaps it was preferable to apologise to Katy rather than stepping into the ring with her. Blake told Katy, 'Should I have to remind you that just weeks ago you lost to an eightyfour year old woman? And you want to try fighting a woman like me? Come on, Katy, maybe you're the one who should apologise?'
Katy, who had not long ago lost a wrestling match to bodybuilder Ernestine Shepherd already in her eighties, was white with rage when Blake remembered this climax of humiliation for the pop princess and rubbed it in. 'You stupid bitch!' she hissed at her new enemy. 'Only because I lost to a bodybuilder I'm not incapable of beating the crap out of you! That muscle monster would fold you in the middle and tear you in halves. Thinking about that, that's actually just what I'll do with you myself!'
Blake Lively has invited Ernestine Shepherd to watch the fight between her and Katy, promising the 'old age muscle lady' to defeat Katy in front of her. Katy laughed at the actress' attempt on humiliating her by asking Ernestine to attend the event, and sent a message to Ernestine: 'Now you'll see I'm a fighter, and witness how that girl who thinks she can handle me will have to learn a lesson.'
