When I was in junior high school, as they used to call it years ago in the early seventies, there was this bad-ass girl by the name of Alice German. Alice lived across the street and was always getting into fights with other girls. Rumor was that she had also been in some fights with a few high school girls and had easily kicked their asses. That may not seem so unusual being that Alice was 5’10” tall and weighed about 250 pounds. What was unusual was that she was an eighth grader who had flunked out so many times she was supposedly already 18 years old.
Alice hung with a rough crowd. And when girls do that they usually get into trouble at some point. But Alice sought trouble out. And she was a magnet for it. She was by far the toughest girl in the school and her adversaries, per eyewitnesses, usually got walloped with a vengeance.
It was my freshman year (I went to a school that included grades seven thru nine). I was an honor student and hung with the preps. I didn’t drink or smoke but I did have an ear for these kinds of things because it was sort of a turn-on—to hear about girls fighting each other or an impending fight that was to take place after school.
Anyway, there was this sexy janitor (yes, a female—long blonde hair, late twenties, about 5’5” and 115 pounds) who worked at the school part-time in the afternoons for extra money. She was a knockout and I would see her sashaying around the hallways from time to time, rolling her bucket and mop. My eyes would practically pop out of my skull as I watched her firm glutes jiggle from side to side in those tight indigo Levi’s and cowboy boots—not to mention the tight t-shirts that revealed her small but firm breasts and thin, well-toned arms. It was uncanny and certainly Playboy-worthy to watch this woman roam the hallways of our school. I don’t know why the principal had hired such as sexy woman—and rumor was that she had once been a stripper and perhaps still was—but none of the guys in school was complaining.
It was on a warm day in early May, a month before school recessed for the summer, that I overheard a conversation as I was walking near the janitorial closet. I was on my way to my last class when I thought I heard some girl say, “Say anything about this and your ass is grass. You hear me, bitch?” I heard a soft voice acquiesce, then five seconds later as I passed the closet I saw Alice emerge and take off in the opposite direction. I then saw the sexy janitor (I think her name was Molly) come out, close the door and lock it. She seemed a bit disoriented and I could’ve sworn her hair was a bit mussed up. Her face also seem flushed as if she were embarrassed. Whatever the case, it took no genius to realize that this sexy, tight-jeaned goddess, had been threatened by Alice German. And no need to say, I was more than a bit frightened for her—mainly because of Alice’s reputation for brutality.
About two weeks later, as I was on my way to catch the bus, I noticed a fairly large crowd across the street near Alice’s house. I knew the locale because Alice was always fighting and I actually saw some of the fights sometimes as our bus passed her yard. But the crowds were usually not quite as large as they were on this particular day.
Needless to say, I was a bit intrigued. It was nearly seventy degrees and the two-mile walk home wasn’t going to kill me. Besides, I was a little more than curious as to what was transpiring behind the wall of students milling about Alice German’s house.
I made my way across the street and approached the tail end of the crowd. I jostled for a position that would give me a good vantage point. As I did I heard a thud! Then another thud. Then yet another. It was the sickening sound of fist against flesh which always turned my stomach. I just wasn’t into seeing people get hurt. The last blow had a sort of wet, mushy sound to it.
“I warned you, you skinny little cxnt. Didn’t I?”
I finally caught a glimpse of the action. Alice was standing near the walkway in front of her house. Her big ass was facing the crowd. She had her fists clenched at her sides. And leaning against a stone post by the side of the porch was our sexy janitor, Molly. Her nose and mouth were bloody which practically covered her chin. Blood from another cut near her eyebrow trickled down the right side of her face which appeared a bit bruised and swollen. She just gazed at Alice in a stupor, clad in her tight jeans and blood-splattered tight white t-shirt, with her legs outstretched and wobbly.
Alice stormed over and grabbed Molly by her left arm. She then pulled her forward, grabbed her by the shoulders and tossed her toward the crowd. Molly landed on her stomach with an, umphhhh!
“You should’ve minded your own business, janitor bitch. Then you wouldn’t be getting your ass kicked right now.”
Alice grabbed Molly by the back of her long blonde mane. She screamed but Alice ignored her. The fat girl just bent over, engulfed the woman’s stomach from behind and pulled her to her feet. She then turned her toward her and engulfed her in a bearhug that took her boots off the grass. Molly arched her back as she endured the pain. “Like that, bitch? Like that?” Alice roared in a loud voice.
“Help me,” the woman said in a mere shriek. But Alice didn’t listen. She squished the woman and actually walked around with her and faced the crowd.
“Not a chance, bitch,” said Alice, as she dropped Molly to her boots. She then turned her around and back-handed the woman, knocking her to the ground. Alice smirked at her as she grabbed her hair and pulled her to her knees. Molly screamed. Her face was awash in agony as she tried to grab at her hair and pull Alice’s hands away with both of hers--her thin arms struggling to no avail. But instead her chin met the front of Alice’s thick knee as Alice hiked it up. Molly flipped onto her back and landed spread-eagled on the grass. She was totally unconscious and just lay there with her bloody mouth open, having just had the shit beat out of her by a thirteen year old fat girl.
The principal finally made his way through the crowd and tended to our poor, hapless little janitor. Meanwhile, Alice just stood there preening as she looked at the slim woman being helped across the street.
I saw Molly about a week later in school. She no longer walked with the same confidence as she had before the fight. She seemed almost frightened to be there. The woman probably was asked to just finish out the school year because she never worked at the school after that. My brother went to school there the next year and said there was no sexy janitor walking around. Just some fat old dude with the proclivity to occasionally reveal his ass cheeks while in a stooped position.
