Just my advice, I've lost my share of close fights and some of them had humiliating endings, It comes with the territory of private IRL matches, what helps me is take a night , be by yourself and replay the match over and over in your head most of the time you'll remember the turning point and think it threw make sure not to let it happen again, hopefully by the end of the night you will know if you were out fought or made a mistake your opponent took advantage of. Either way do not dwell on it think it threw and move on. Dwelling on it does no good and can effect your confidence in future matches don't give it that power. Remember the basics no one goes undefeated for ever. And after that night of thought move on either prepare for your next match, our throw yourself into your workouts, and remember you can always ask for a rematch. Hope this Helps

Make sure you have someone helping you that either cares deeply for you or enjoys seeing you get beaten up, or both.  Either way, that person will help you focus on the joy you brought to others in fighting, and/or remind you of your personal worth. After a humiliating beating, it is very easy to get depressed and dejected.  Your in pain, unable to do certain things to help yourself, feeling unworthy and looking at several weeks of recuperation.  In the hours after the loss, its important to focus on the few positives that come from having undertaken the fight itself.  Your helpmate can help you do that.  Now, please get me some meds and a few ice packs.

Great advice man. Our football team lost a match badly we were expected to win. The pep talk by our manager a day afterward was essentially the essence of what you have laid out above. Some of us badly needed it. He told me later his concern now was the players who had not been feeling the loss.

Having support is major but for your inner self you enter a match/fight already accepting it may or may not be your day , yes we tell ourselves “ i will win” but in the back of or minds we know it might not be our day. That said you have choices, accept it heal and move on , train harder, or lastly rematch when ready. Going over what moves or action gave you an advantage during the encounter and exploit that if you rematch.
