The Super Cool Guy died a couple of years ago.

Coming through the mirror, is an Evil 4th D Entity that the Dark Vamps have conjured and are trying to use to invade earth [multiples that can be generated just one at a time] Kind of the 3rd line, or the Body Snatchers deal. They can come in while duplicating the guardian sent to stop their evil selves. They can only come in naked except for high heels [hey this is Science, I didn't make this up!] . The Oil and heels help insulate them from electric energy of a particular pulse and magnitude.
ADDISON the female scientist that Jane Leglock sent to intercept also has to dress or undress the same way, to protect herself from the electrical energy pulsing near the inter-D mirrors, the Vamps secretly transported in using a self generating worm hole system only they know of and can use during specific periods.
She has to fight them anyway she can, and Jane has trained her personally. Jane is a Vamp [Wraith-species originally from Arth] herself at one time abducted by the Dark Queen. Her father was a brilliant scientist [but more about Jane in the upcoming Ani-PDF describing the whole GalaxiBabes SAGA and the current sub plots]
The duplicates/clones come in as relatively mindless beings that duplicate precisely the energy/strength of the guardian located[sent to] at that particular magnetic/waypoint on earth.
If you had Golden Boy guarding it, it would send a powerful clone just like Golden Boy.
Arth's secret service aka Protective Galaxi Services or PGS [ya that's owned by the PIGS TOO] are the ones that tract the activities of the Vamps.
ADDISON must stop them, by using the crystal nails on her hands and toes. The ones on her toes more for defensive moves, as she must keep her shoes on or risk being electrocuted.
She pretty much drains down her nails' supply of power by scratching and clawing her duplicate anyway she can. It is often to the guardian's advantage to meet the duplicate just as it is coming in.
Once it passes through the mirror like interface, the guardian can charge and tackle the DUP, trying to send both of them back through the mirror and into the neutral zone from where she has a better chance of winning the fight. The mirror only stays open for a few seconds, but if she can take the fight back to the other side, and she can then defeat the clone and then find the power source, located in a confusing maze, for which Jane and PGS provided ADDISON with a tracker to both find the power source and avoid the next DUP that will be coming for her, a few minutes after the other one expired. It also has the location of power balls [used by both clones and ADDISON to charge her nails]. After each fight she needs to recharge her nails. Finally if she can close down the local generator she can start a chain reaction to shut down the complex and set the Vamps back from using their system [at least to get to Arth] for several years if not decades. She will have just a few minutes to reach one of the mirrors, and it may not be the one taking her to Arth.
Otherwise, she can stay on her side and fight off up to six of the clones [one at a time], before they retreat until the following year. They have gotten past the guardians before, and took out important Scientists and Leaders. Jane's Dad was one who met their fate at the hands of one of these assassins/spies.
[[As far as the Vamps go, think of the Amazons, only with the Amazons being a bunch of blood sucking vampires on the order of the Wraith, constantly fighting with one another and deciding who is right by blood combat, fought normally in a pit of blood, often mortal-combat ]]
Sometimes the clones actually say something, in the exact voice of the Guardian, addressing the Guardian as MONSTER! The Guardians are warned not to engage in any conversation with the DUPS.
[[BUT, why not send more than one Guardian? 1st- many Guardians have to be trained and sent out to find the actual Vamp Transport stations,
2nd- most importantly if the Vamp system detects more than one being on the other side
it can duplicate an entire Army and invade the planet... this has happened before to some unfortunate souls]]
