There are several threads on here where feeding another's baby is the stake, or a way of asserting one's dominance over the other.
My experience was quite different, It started backwards.
I struck up a friendship with a woman when I was pregnant with my second child during antenatal classes. We both had older children and lived almost around the corner to each other.
We spent a lot of time together and formed quite a bond.
After the babies were born we'd meet at the School dropping off our older ones, and more often than not end up at either home for coffee.
Cutting straight to the chase, one morning while we were feeding our boys she made a comment about me having enough milk for both as I was bigger than her.
We wondered if they would notice a different food source, so we tried it out.
My Son latched on to her instantly but her Boy took a little encouragement.
We locked eyes, and although it was never ment to be any kind of competition, she just looked a little smug at the ease in which my baby had taken to her milk.
We both blushed deeply but didn't say a word as the boys fed.
This lead to a three year escalating rivalry.
The boys are 20 now.
