Kelli was a really strong fighter, and I especially like how much trouble she caused ledy Ellen and Hurricane Havana. Considering that Sabrina Hurricane was a professional wrestler

First, I never had the pleasure of talking or meeting Kelli. There may be some members who did and I hope they respond to your questions. I do know something about her that I can share.  Kelli was introduced to fighting my a boyfriend named "JJ", I personally never had any contact with him.  He is known in the community as he also brought other women to this sport.  He was about as popular and in reputation as Hitler at a Bar Mitzvah. Their relationship fell apart and Kelli made an attempt to start her own production company.  JJ sued her in court to stop it. Relationship aside he had her sign some sort of agreement early on in her fighting career that gave him full control of her video taped fights.  The court ruled in his favor and her plans fell apart. At that point she walked away from the fighting world leaving behind a series of well fought matches against a wide variety of opponents. To my knowledge no one has heard from her in the years that have passed. That is a real shame because that rat JJ died a number of years back which should have legally freed her from that written contract. Where ever she is I think all of us in the community hope she is healthy and doing well.

I never met them either and have to agree with Suffolk about JJ ... what an asshole !  The way I knew of him and Kelli was through their Yahoo page which most here won't remember, it was that long ago.  He was just a nasty piece of shit ; talked down to everyone even if it was your first time posting on his Yahoo message board and  trash talked all the other female wrestlers that were active.

He once put together a girl wrestling tournament to be held in NJ and since it was a reasonable driving distance for me, I expressed interest in attending.  I was mortified that he was charging a base fee of $750. just to attend the afternoons events, and MORE if you wanted to talk to him or any of the girls. LOL, I told him he was out of his fucking mind and he went absolutely nuts with threats of hunting me down , beating the shit out of me , law suits , etc.   

Never knew about the law suit against Kelli  ...  but even more surprised that Kelli had no shame in going to court to defend her privilege (?)  or right (?) to fight other women for money     WTF  

I would have loved to see the reaction of others in the court house to this ridiculous case. LOL

locked, I guess you and I must have chatted with the same people in the past about JJ.  I don't have any idea what were the terms of what ever agreement/contract JJ had over Kelli. If I had to guess I would say the terms prevented her from establishing her own independent production company (which is exactly what I heard she was trying to do) as opposed to prevent her from fighting or appearing in other producers videos (like the series she did for Fighting Wildcats).  I imagine the court fight was the straw that broke the camels back and lead her to leave the business. I didn't know he
"produced" and of the NJ events,  I remember them from Mary the Fighting Nurse's yahoo clubs.  I don't believe JJ had any relationship with Mary.

Come to think about it after you point it out , I don't know if he produced videos .... I never remember him advertising them but I suppose I thought he did with all the hype he did with Kelli. I was never attracted to Kelli so never looked into her stuff unless something was posted on that Yahoo site. I never remembered Mary the Fighting Nurse either ... was that the girl who ran Fighting Wild Cats ? Back then I gave most of my FF attention to Barb's board, DWW and my favorite , Premier Productions. 

But the NJ event was real and I think at least that one took place because I remember reading that one of the participants was Hurricane Havana.  I'd read whatever I came across , etc. and Kelli's reputation was hard to ignore with the big mouth JJ promoting her.  The only back and forth 'discussion' I had with JJ was when I laughed at his ridiculous pricing of the event.

LOL ... one thing I remember reading about the match between Kelli and Havana.  Kelli said Havana was getting tired and Kelli whispered to her that if she didn't start moving and trying harder she was going to give her an orgasm ! 

Apparently in a panic of that happening in public , that threat sparked some new life into Havana ,    LOL.

If I have this straight, Mary was, in fact, the first woman that JJ got into wrestling.  He left her for Kelli.  Then he left Kelli.  Don't know what this guy had going for him, but he must have had some kind of charm. 

Never knew about the NJ tournament, nor did I ever have any dealings with him.   Guess I should be happy about that. 

I'm with you about Kelli.  I hope that she is well.
