I will never, ever get tired of watching The Adventures of Baron Munchausen. It's the most perfect story ever told about the power of imagination and the reality of fiction.
I loved that movie! But most people around here have never heard of it. Of course I'm a bit of a Terry Gilliam and things like that fan.
Well, of course you are, because we were evidently cloned in the same lab.
I saw CA:TWS twice on opening weekend. OMG, as a lifelong comic book fan whose top two favorite heroes include Captain America, I was blown away and amazed. I have to say I love what they've done with Falcon and it felt like they set this one up like Empire Strikes Back. You just know there's going to be a third movie and that it will rock.
The Falcon interpretation was friggin' AMAZING.
They got rid of the entire Captain America White Man's Burden aspect and made Flip a kick-ass self-starter with fucking jet wings and goggles and machine pistols.
Also, I was pleased with how well that movie stood up - it was a great sequel to the First Avenger, it was a great tie-in to The Avengers, and it was a fucking fantastic movie on its own lights.
AND THEY NAMEDROPPED STEPHEN STRANGE! And kind of Moon Knight!
