I was thinking today about how female wrestling/catfighting has changed a lot since when I first got into it. I got into it during the late 90's/early 00's and things were great back then. DWW had a lot of their classic women, carolina catfights was starting out, Gia and Holly were pretty active, Ringmaster girls, tweety, barbs combative, Catfight Haven, etc were all putting out amazing stuff. However, like all humans, people are getting older and things are phasing out (CarolinaCatfights no longer really has any new videos or live shows, Tweety is gone, Holly puts out one movie a month (if that sometimes), Gia has slowed down on video work (which I'm sure the discussion on changes in this could be a topic all it's own).
It made me think though, where have some of the girls gone? More specifically, where did some of the DWW girls go like Barbara or Luzia? Did they ever do matches for other sites? Did they retire? Honestly, they're only in their low thirties and in some cases quit when in their 20's (I think Barbara was like 26-27 when she disappeared. I know there are countless topics about Crystal Video girls, but there is a slight difference. The Crystal girls did fist fighting for spare money which has a shorter career expectancy, since how can you go to work with bruises and black eyes? DWW though seemed more like a career almost with as many matches as most of the girls had and relatively unknown consequences.
I guess if people are interested, this could be topic more on all wrestlers, not just DWW girls. But I'm just curious as to what happened to some of the wrestlers/catfighters I started with.
