"pwnage"?  Is this the same thing as the jobber discussion?

Similar. But pwnage is more total domination. You can be a jobber and just barely lose. Pwnage is completely devastated.

Ok I heard the term squash jobber by someone who PM'd me today.  I guess that is the same thing and said he thinks I'd be one.

yes a squash jobber is one that gets "pwned" :D

I don't think you have the look of a squash jobber.  Those are usually for faces.  I think you'd be a heel.  You would be taking a pounding but I think you would find a way to cheat during the match to turn it in your favor for a while before you eventually lose.

Yeah, you do have that heelish look. Unlees you did a makeover and you could be a pretty squash jobber.

No, you just look too tough to be a squash jobber. The usually look pretty and delicate.

I just wanted to say I loved what Red and Gaelle had to say. Mood has a big part to do with it and sometimes with the right person it can be fun to lose. Still though I almost always want it to be competitive. Like ya said Red I think of it like a story we're writing together. I try not to think about wanting to win or lose too much just kind've go with the flow of the match. I loved what ya said about feeling out ya opponent in the first few moves to get an idea of what they like and how they write (in cyber) and like how much they know and how they use it. You can usually tell what kind of match you're gonna get in the first few posts I've usually found. Wanna say thanks again to Sara for bringing up these awesome wrestling clinic discussions!!

You can. You really can. For me it's like playing poker. People have "tells" that let you know what they really like subconsciously.  It can be something as simple as a blow in one spot being shrugged off and a similar blow to another spot being pretty devastating or it can be as complex as them putting you in a hold they want to be in themselves later on in the match.  It's part of the fun for me to figure out what my opponent isn't telling me outright, but is telling me if I read between the lines.  Also, I love when I find someone who writes so well that I have to up my game and use more descriptive language. Someone with the right chemistry with me can make it seem like we're writing a chapter in a book with little effort.

I'm good at covering this in real life hun. Since I never 'trained' in any style in particular, but know a few, I can switch up at the drop of a hat to whatever feels most comfortable. Also, I'm almost always smiling when I fight hun, so it's hard to gauge me that way. It also unnerves people, because it make me seem like I know something they don't... which is true.
A confident ebony amazon. I'd wish you luck hun, but you'd need a miracle.

Yeah it's a lot harder in real life than over cyber. That's why I'm not at the WSOP right now. I can see why always smiling unnerves people too.  It makes them wonder if you're planning something or if you're really hurt or what not.

Yeah. I'm not as good at writing as I am with cybering. I know what I'd do in real life, but I can't always explain it.

That's a bit of a trick you learn through not only writing a lot, but reading as well. The more you read, the more you get an idea of different authors' ways of describing things and can find your own voice so to speak.
