Well, the tournament takes place in the present...and Alexandra is 50-years old. And age does matter.  Besides, Alexandra is not the only 'athletic' one; many of the Baywatch babes were, and still are athletic, including the ones with surgical 'enchancements'. Not a fan of huge boobs, but having fake boobs doesn't automatically negate your combat ability. And what about skill? Alexandra has absolutely no combat training while some of the people in the tournament at least claim to have some training.

   Yes, Alexandra Paul is 50 but Pamela Anderson is 46.  The 4 years age difference is erased when you realize that Anderson has been receiving treatment for Hepatitis C since 2003 (and will always require treatment) whereas Alexandra Paul regularly competes in endurance events and in June 2012 swam the 12.5 miles around Key West in under 5.5 hours.
  Alexandra has also raced the Maui Channel Crossing (10 miles from Lanai to Maui), the Fiji Swim in 2009 (an 11 mile open ocean race from Fiji to Beachcomber Island), and the Bonaire Island ocean race.  Plus she has completed the Hawaii Ironman race twice as well as the Chicago Triathlon, and many others.
  Paul has also done the Boston Marathon, the LA Marathon, the Rock N Roll Marathon, the Chicago Marathon, several other marathons, in addition to a multitude of shorter runs, bike rides, and swims.

By the way, none of the Baywatch women regulars are under 40.  Alexandra was the fittest while on the show and most likely still is.  As for "combat training" - she has also been in movies like some of the others which required her to learn kicks and how to punch or do rudimentary judo throws.  Don't forget that the ability to bike race over 100 miles requires strength as well as endurance.  Ditto for swimming 10 plus miles.

Nice to see someone praise her athletic prowess, which without doubt is better than most actresses even half her age. Unfortunately she hasn't been able to run for years due to an knee injury and the surgey that followed.

The comment about her not knowing how to fight was based on her own comment about how awkward she felt in the combat scenes when training for and filming the DeathTrain/Nightwatch movies.

I know this is too much real world stuff... but considering that she is a pacifist the probability of her even entering a fight would be slim, and the chance of winning equally small.
