Cute teen series features polar opposite identical cousins

I grew up on this really cute series as a teenager myself, and only wish today's adolescents had more programs of its quality and sense of genuine fun. The Patty Duke Show is shades of Hayley Mills's Parent Trap. In fact, every young girl's heroines back then were Patty Duke, Hayley Mills, and Sally Field (star of Gidget & The Flying Nun). The teen magazines were full of this trio of stars.

Yeah, I was going to say that, just with ''Gidget'' and ''The flying nun'', Sally had already made a name for herself, well before she hitched a ride with Burt

Sally's not so big on build, but she sure is in spunk and toughness... she takes Patty (almost !) easily... I can so see her, disheveled, her outfit partially torn, with a wry smile as she stuffs Patty's squiming face into the toilet

Our world is big, beautiful, and for decades it was separated. Based on that, I suggest changing notoriety to "she was known whichever territories Gidget could be sold to". As ours was not one of them and Western films were as rostered back then as China does it now (like banning Christopher Robin only because Pooh is a form of ridicule for Xi Jin Ping), Smokey was the first where we got to see her.

That also only happened, because there were two kinds of films allowed: the one with A-list celebrities known from before the war (Hepburn, Gable) and movies critical of America in some, preferably harsh manner. Smokey was imported not just to entertain but to imply, much like Dukes of Hazzard that law enforcement is corrupt and incompetent, whereas most of the characters are allegedly decadent (though not like HUAC's long arm had not done the same in Hollywood).

It's due to these differences, that I identify her with the '70s and not the '60s.

Sally and Patty are entangled outside the stall door. Hair mangled, clothes torn and their bare feet slapping against the cold bathroom floor. Their moans of pain filling the bathroom Who will have their  head end up in the toilet? Patty or Sally?

The more I read and the more I look at these pictures the more I know this would have been a hell of a catfight.
