After months of hyping up their first major tournament, the day had finally arrived that the recently formed Women's Mud Wrestling League (better known as the WMWL) was to begin their first summer tournament. They had set aside several days at the end of August for the event, and sent out sixteen invitations to the sixteen lucky women that would be participating. Models, actresses, wrestlers...the heads of the league made sure that their tournament would be as much variety in it's initial tournament as possible, bringing in female celebrities of every type for it.
The league had purchased a small, private island in the Caribbean., not just for this tournament but for other events, and with their own money had flown the sixteen competitors out for it. One by one they had arrived, and one by one they had been shown to the private cottages in what the league was calling the Competitor's Village, a small area where the entrants would be staying each night. In fact, the women were currently all there, waiting for the announcement of the opening brackets for the event.
And with a synchronized
ding of sixteen women's cell phones going off all at once, they would all get what they were waiting for: the opening brackets and a reminder of the rules for the tournament.
Welcome to the WMWL's Champion Island, ladies! This is a reminder that all matches will be under Mud Pit Match rules. All women will begin their matches in swimsuits. The start of each match will come after both women have entered their mud pit. Victory can be attained in your match by submission, knockout, or pin. Both women can leave the pit after the bell has rung to start the match, but it will start a ten second count. If the fighter who is being counted out is not back in the pit before the count is over, they will be disqualified, and their opponent will be allowed to do with them as they please. Other than that, anything goes in the pit, so be creative and have fun!
And as a special surprise, we'd like to announce to the sixteen of your now that the winner of this tournament will be named the WMWL's first ever champion! A little bit of extra incentive for you all to do your best, should you need it. Naturally, this title will come with both prestige and power, so we here at the league hope you all get out there and kick some ass!
In the first cottage in the Competitor's Village,
Christina Hendricks was laid back on her bed, looking at her phone with slight worry in her eyes. She didn't want to do this tournament at first. She had already been informed that she'd be the oldest woman involved, and looking at the brackets she couldn't help but think she was being screwed. The next oldest woman in the top half of the brackets was five years her younger, and it felt like no matter how things turned out, Christina was going to have a hard time ahead of her. Still though, she wasn't going to back down. She felt like she had something to prove here, and if she could at least win her opening match, she would be happy with herself. Kat Dennings though. The redhead couldn't help but be slightly worried about that match-up...
In her own abode, on the other hand,
Kat Dennings was feeling rather confident about her chances. The brunette was young and in her opinion in the best shape of her life, and like many others she shared the opinion that Hendricks was far past her prime. As far as she was concerned? She was going to have an easy win in the first round.
Elsewhere,
Kate Upton and
Abigail Ratchford were sharing drinks in Kate's cottage, the two of them having a discussion about their match-ups.
"Okay, so...I'm not happy about having to fight Kelly Brook in the first round," Kate was saying, watching Abigail calmly sipping her drink as she listed to the blonde ranting. "That bitch is too much like Graham for my tastes. Looks like you got an easy one though. Yaya Han? I have no idea who that is, but she shouldn't be an issue for you, right?"
Abigail shook her head and smiled softly, answering Kate in a simple manner. "She's just some cosplay bitch. She really doesn't belong here, but it doesn't matter. I'll take her down. You just remember the plan, alright?"
"Don't worry," Kate smiled in return, before taking a quick sip from her own fruity drink. "As long as you hold up your end of our bargain, we've got this."
Yaya Han, by the way, was relaxing in her own cottage, having not even looked at her phone yet. She didn't plan to, either. She had been brought here as a representative of the cosplay community, so as far as she was concerned it didn't matter who she'd be up against. She would just have to do her best, and win or lose try to put on a good show.
Kate's opponent, on the other hand, was feeling slightly anxious.
Kelly Brook had moved some of the furniture in her villa to the side of the living area, giving her plenty of room to workout and limber up. Even though she knew the fights wouldn't begin until tomorrow, she wanted to make sure she was in proper shape, not wanting to take any chances. Kate Upton was a dangerous opponent, and Kelly knew that she had gotten unlucky having been placed against her in the first round. She would have to be careful, and she would have to stay sharp during their fight.
Liv Morgan and
Alexa Bliss were also with each other, sitting on the couch in Liv's place, talking about their opponents. Alexa was feeling pretty confident ("She's just some instagram bitch, how much trouble could she be?"), while Liv was feeling slightly sick. She had decided that her going up against Ashley Graham in the first round was some kind of sick joke, but Alexa had assured her that she'd do fine. Just because she was bigger didn't mean she was better, right?
Ashley Graham, on the other hand, was feeling extremely confident. After her
fairly recent win against Kate Upton, she was feeling damn proud of herself. She planned to rocket through this tournament straight to the end, regardless of who stood in her way. She couldn't help but wonder though, if she and Kate would end up meeting again in the finals...
Alexa's opponent,
Ana Cheri, wasn't in her cabin. The fitness model had snuck out to the beach, getting some last minute sun after her phone had went off with her opponent's name. She wasn't too worried about Alexa. She was strong, she was fit, and she was ready. There was no fear in her mind as she relaxed under the hot rays of the sun, nothing but calm thoughts as she let the sunlight dance across her skin.
In yet another cottage,
Emma Stone,
Scarlett Johansson,
Brie Larson, and
Alexandra Daddario had all met up, discussing the tournament and the open brackets with each other. Larson and Daddario weren't worried about having to face each other at the start. The four of them had decided they were there as the representatives of Hollywood, and had all agreed they'd be supporting each other and cheering each other on, no matter what happened. Win or lose, Larson and Daddario planned on having a good match with each other, and no hard feelings towards whichever one of them lost. They did wonder where
Margot Robbie was, though. They had invited the blonde to their meeting, but it seemed like she was nowhere to be found...
In the last cabin in the village sat
Kim Kardashian, and just like Yaya Han, she was ignoring her phone. She was a superstar, and in her own mind it didn't matter who she was going to face. She would crush them, and come out on top in the end.
As the day turned to night, the competitors all eventually returned to their own cabins, physically preparing for bed and mentally preparing for the next day. There were four matches scheduled for day one of the tournament, and the eight women involved with them knew they would have to be at their best. There was too much on the line for them not to be.
