After the leg drop and a bit of showboating, Laura and I lock eyes. Hers contain no defiance, no hope - in fact, it's as though she's pleading for me to end it. The thought of more showboating crosses my mind - there are so many holds and moves I'd love to use, but it would just be showing off and disrespectful. Still, most in attendance seem to want more. I'm so conflicted! After several more seconds of contemplation, I slide my leg off the older wrestler's chest and kneel at her right side. Her eyes nearly beg, so I mount her, sit on her tummy and pull her arms down along her sides, pinning them to her body with my legs. I place my open hands on her chest, palming her breasts and pin her under me for a flashy pin. The ref is a little slow so I snap, "she's pinned now!" Finally she gets down and begins to count and I order "To 10! Count to 10!" I cannot justify any more wrestling, but I'll give the customers a big finish. The count rises, getting to 3, then 5 . . .

Laura has submitted. Oh, not verbally, but there is nothing indicating anything but the end. The ref counts slowly, which doesn't bother me one bit. My opponent isn't going anywhere until I get off of her. 5 . . . 6 . . . 7 . . . and now the crowd counts along each time her hand makes contact with the canvas. The 55-year old lies still, accepting her fate and I feel a bit of remorse - I may have gone too far, but then again, I could have gone farther. I see Laura close her eyes peacefully, accepting the result like a true pro. 8 . . . 9 . . . and still nothing. Finally the ref gets to 10 and calls for the bell. I do not linger. I get off the prone woman immediately and stand but don't raise my hands in victory. The ref wants my left hand, but instead, I offer my foe assistance in getting up. I hold my hands out, really wanting her on her feet right away, instead of lying there, looking so done. She fought fairly, has accepted her loss and deserves the respect she has earned over the decades and in this match.

Laura did evaporate ... R.I.P.
Yes, it appears Laura has submitted her final and ultimate submission. I want to thank her for the challenge and her fairness. She was willing to take the risk and let the chips fall where they may. This time they tumbled in my direction. She has been wonderful throughout and I wish her all the best!

Nice match ladies! Well written in my opinion and fair indeed. Gabi appears to be a youngster worthy of some consideration!
