My takes on this set
. I think this one is easier to pick then the last two weeks, but still! There are some tough choices here. Also some great, great match-ups that I think would make for some great rivalries!
Hayley Atwell Vs Jessica AlbaWinner: Hayley Atwell - As mentioned in my opening bit, this is one of the matches that I think would make a fantastic rivalry! The slender, toned Alba vs the curvy, busty Atwell! Each is around the same height and nearly the same age, with a classic UK vs USA type of rivalry easily possible. Unfortunately for Alba, one of my favorites, I think she loses this rivalry most of the time and that includes here. I think Atwell is just too much for the former Dark Angel, Hayley's power and bust overwhelming Alba over time as the two brawl. I think if Jessica can make the match last a long time, she's got the better endurance and could wear Hayley down. But I don't think Hayley is going to let that happen without challenge and Jessica can't prolong the match long enough to wear down her opponent, as Hayley eventually belly to belly slams her to the ground and smothers her out in classic Atwell fashion.
Hailee Steinfeld Vs BeyonceWinner: Beyonce - I think this match ends up close as hell, with Beyonce just barely able to squeeze out a win over the younger star. I can see these two being pretty evenly matched, giving Beyonce a slight edge on power and fighting prowess and Hailee a slight edge on speed and endurance. This is a fight that I can see Queen B losing though, coming in overconfident, thinking she'll crush the younger star, only to be completely surprised as Hailee matches her blow to blow and move to move. But in the end I see Beyonce recovering, realizing the threat the Bumblebee star poses and upping her game just enough to sneak a win. This is really a matchup that I'd give to Hailee 4 out of 10 times, maybe even 5. But as of now, I think Beyonce is just too much for her, finally taking down the resilient Steinfeld and forcing her to tap between Queen B's legs. I think even with a series going to all 10 matches, I think they'll all end up close.
Iggy Azalea Vs Rebecca FergusonWinner: Rebecca Ferguson - To me, this is another match that is close as hell, making that two in a row! I do think in the end that Rebecca brings down the taller singer but in a best of 10.... This is again, a near even split. I'm tempted to give Iggy the win here, just due to her height, youth and apparent strength. But, what leads me to choose Rebecca is that I see Ferguson having a far greater fighting IQ, coming in with a great strategy that inevitably brings down Azalea. I can also see Rebecca having a pretty high pain tolerance that keeps her in the fight, even with Iggy probably fighting dirty at some points. Ferguson seems to me that she'd do anything to win, willing to pass-out in defiance of losing, while Iggy I see not taking it quite so seriously. So in the end, I think Rebecca grinds Azalea down at the end of a long, hair ripping, clothes stripping, pantie wedgieing fight that has both women red in the face, with Iggy trapped in a headlock on her knees, cursing out her older opponent just before Ferguson fires strike after strike after strike straight into Azalea's large bosom with her free hand, forcing Azalea to give reluctantly.
Melissa Fumero Vs Alexis RenWinner: Alexis Ren - I can't say this is as close as the two matches above it, but don't get me wrong, I think this is super close. I originally chose Fumero before switching to Ren, the choice honestly causing me to pause as I write this haha. I've gotta go with Alexis, I'm going to stick with it. I think she's got better endurance and is in better shape, though I think Fumero is tougher and can take more punishment, I don't think Melissa is as aggressive or energized as Ren. And in the end I think that's what makes the difference, there's a bit of back and forth here, but largely Ren is on the assault, trying to put Melissa away and getting frustrated at Fumero's resilience. Melissa is finally forced to tap though when Alexis locks her legs around her torso, squeezing hard as she tugs away at Melissa's hair, finally drawing an angry tap from the normally cheery actress.
Selena Gomez Vs Maya HawkeWinner: Selena Gomez - I just don't think Maya is ready, I think she's still a bit too hesitant and timid to beat the more confident Latina, despite her clear height advantage. Maya makes Selena work for the win of course and I think in a few years the winner of this match in my mind may be switched with a great rivalry potentially here. But as of now, I think Selena takes advantage of her opponents naivety and takes her down with a cheap shot to Hawke's crotch, dropping the leggy Maya to the ground on her stomach, letting Selena get on top of her and locking in a camel clutch. Maya's neck and chest are strained, her body still agonized by the low blow and Hawke gives before the fight gets worse.
Zoey Deutch Vs Kirsten DunstWinner: Kirsten Dunst - I really wanted to give Zoey the win, I'm not sure if I've ever marked her as a winning fighter this whole season, especially over Kirsten who I don't think is too great of a fighter. But I can't, Zoey's just too small and timid to beat the larger, more experienced Dunst, who bullies Deutch around. Kirsten is heavier, taller, stronger and more proactive then Zoey and I think that's all it ends up taking. I think Deutch is faster for sure, a lot more energized with much better endurance, but she just seems too diffident to take advantage and Kirsten eventually squeezes the fight out of her with a bearhug.
AnnaSophia Robb Vs Maisie WilliamsWinner: Maisie Williams - Similar to what I said about Alba Vs Atwell, I think this is another fight that makes for a fantastic rivalry. I'm shocked to say this, considering I'm not super high on either Maisie or AnnaSophia, but I think this is the match I'd most want to see in this set, except for maybe Alba Vs Atwell. And that's not something I'd ever have thought I'd hypothetically think about considering! But yeah, I think this is the best fight in this set, not in a conventional sense, as other fights on here are between competitors that I think are stronger fighters overall. But this is just such a good matchup, with each girl to me having that never give up attitude, a ton of spark/eagerness and wanting to prove themselves. In the end though, I think Maisie is just too tough for AnnaSophia, able to take more strikes and bumps and slams, the two trading fist to fist until AnnaSophia is forced to go on the defensive against the more resilient Williams. Maisie eventually forces AnnaSophia to turn around after a flurry of strikes, locking in a full nelson from behind and falling onto her back, locking her legs around Robb's stomach and squeezing until AnnaSophia taps. I think there's a lot of respect between these two after, leading to a friendly but fiercely competitive rivalry to me.
Sara Jean Underwood Vs Sarah HylandWinner: Sara Jean Underwood - I think Hyland wins a few matches in a best of 10 here! Which is not something I get to say often
. But I finally get to say it here! Against Sara, I think she actually has a shot, not a great one, but a shot. Each girl is around the same size, but Sara seems like she's in much better shape and probably a fair bit stronger. I do think Sarah takes a large portion of the fight on offense though, fighting dirty and forcing Underwood onto defense, but eventually stepping a bridge too far. Hyland rips Underwood's panties apart, breaking them in a brutal wedgie on Sara that infuriates the model worse then it hurts, a burst of ferocious energy propelling Sara to tackle Hyland to the ground, knocking Sarah's pleading hands to the side as she locks in an angry front face-sit that gives Hyland a face full of Underwood's now uncovered privates, Hyland tapping immediately but getting no reprieve from the humiliating move.
Sad we're coming to the end of the season, but looking forward to seeing how it'll all ends up! Thanks for the setting it all up Jads!
