1980s Sex Symbol Tournament Round 04 Set 1
« on: August 22, 2010, 09:44:42 PM »
{alt} {alt}
LYDIA CORNELL (Age: 36; 5'6" / 15th 2-1) vs HUNTER TYLO (Age: 27; 5'6" / 27th 0-3)
Hunter Tylo wants to avenge her humiliating loss to Audrey Landers and thinks Lydia Cornell is just some random overrated blonde who will get her ass kicked in this round. But Lydia has send a couple of women on the floor already and targets a vicious response to the brunette's comments.

{alt} {alt}
KATHLEEN TURNER (Age: 35; 5'8" / 6th 3-0) vs VIRGINIA MADSEN (Age: 28; 5'5" / 21st 1-2)
Kathleen Turner comes undefeated against the slightly built but affraid of no one Virginia Madsen who promises to give the older blonde a real run for her money.

{alt} {alt}
KATE CAPSHAW (Age: 36; 5'7" / 14th 2-1) vs HEATHER LOCKLEAR (Age: 28; 5'5" / 16th 2-1)
Kate Capshaw has incurred an instant dislike of Heather Locklear and vows to punch her guts out. Heather comes fresh from a couple of wins and thinks Kate isn't going to cause her any trouble at all. But will Kate's secret plan prove Heather wrong?

{alt} {alt}
KIM DELANEY (Age: 31; 5'7" / 29th 0-3) vs KIM WILDE (Age: 29; 5'4" / 19th 1-2)
Kim Wilde looks on Kim Delaney as if to say "Who is this weak bitch anyway? There's only one Kim capable of winning this fight and that's certainly not her". Brunette hasn't won a fight yet so her chances aren't that good at the start but the blonde's overconfidence may let her down in the end.

{alt} {alt}
TRACY SCOGGINS (Age: 36; 5'8" / 10th 2-1) vs BROOKE SHIELDS (Age: 24; 6'0" / 25th 0-3)
Tracy Scoggins targets another vicious pounding and doesn't think Brooke Shields is up for the task. But Brooke has challenged bigger women before and won't had the fight to Tracy on a silver plate.

{alt} {alt}
KATHY IRELAND (Age: 26; 5'10" / 4th 3-0) vs REBECCA DE MORNAY (Age: 30; 5'5.5" / 18th 1-2)
Kathy Ireland towers over Rebecca de Mornay in every department and the blonde actress is almost destined for some dirty tricks if she's thinking of even challenging the model for victory.

{alt} {alt}
SAMANTHA FOX (Age: 23; 5'1" / 11th 2-1) vs CATHERINE OXENBERG (Age: 28; 5'5.5" / 17th 1-2)
Samantha Fox has fallen to Mitzi Kapture in the previous round while Catherine Oxenberg scored her first win and would like to continue that streak. Now that Samantha has showed her fragility, Catherine might want to feel more confident of punching the smaller blonde into submission.

{alt} {alt}
MEG RYAN (Age: 28; 5'8" / 13th 2-1) vs CINDY MARGOLIS (Age: 24; 5'7.5" / 5th 3-0)
Meg Ryan looks on Cindy Margolis' cleavage without any respect. "This ain't a spring break contest but a real fighting tournament so if she wants her breasts ripped out, I'll give her that, no problem". Meanwhile Cindy has beaten all her three rivals and considers the petite Meg as good as another fallen rival already.

Lydia Cornell vs Hunter Tylo: I might have chosen Hunter except for her loss to Audrey Landers. Lydia says she hat lots of fights with Deborah Van Valkenburgh behind the scenes in Too Close for Comfort where she learned how to really fight. That is probably pure fantasy but you have to like this kind of attitude coming into a fight. But I also wouldn't put it past Hunter to knock Lydia on her lovely butt.

Kathleen Turner Virginia Madsen:  Kathleen is one of my favorites and is a big, tough bitch. I know little of Virginia but she doesn't look to be in the same league as Kathleen. Kathleen knocks her brains out early in the fight.

Kate Capshaw vs Heather Locklear: I like Kate better than Heather but Heather is too fast for her and can be downright nasty when she puts her mind to it. A real catfight that turns into fisticuffs. These is where the speedy Heather takes over as Kate takes several punches on the nose and chin.

Kim Wilde vs Kim Delaney: Kim Wilde lives up to her name and goes wild in this fight. Ms. Delaney is not used to such an unorthodox attack and gets confused. She prefers more straight forward fights. Before Delaney knows what is happening, Wilde has her prone with a double chicken wing to force a submission.

Tracy Scoggins vs Brooke Shields: Undoubtedly Tracy is a lot nastier and meaner than Brooke. But Brooke is tired of losing to smaller women. She comes out with a new found intensity that catches Tracy off guard. Brooke wins but just barely, with a body scissors.

Kathy Ireland vs Rebecca de Mornay: Rebecca just doesn't have enough dirty tricks to overcome Kathy's size and strength advantage. After putting Kathy down she shows Rebecca how models fight, winning the ca tight and then a sexfight.

Samantha Fox vs Catherine Oxenberg: Samantha Fox talks and acts tough but her mouth is bigger than her tits, and that's saying something. Catherine Oxenberg is tough. Samantha comes out bragging and going after Catherine until Catherine lands a hard punch on her cheek. Then Samantha folds and Catherine has to chase her all around before she finally corners her and KOs Samantha.

Meg Ryan vs Cindy Margolis. Meg has turned out to be tougher and meaner than she looks. Cindy has a perfect record although Meg claims Cindy has face just powder puff foes unlike her tough opponents. Cindy just laughs at the frail looking Meg. I couldn't decide who would win. I flipped a coin but it when down a crack and I lost the coin.

For what it is worth:
Lydia Cornell sits on Hunter Tylo. A very nice blonde vs brunette fight. This time I am going with the blonde mainly because of their records so far. Lydia has done well against some tough opponents. Hunter punches Lydia in the belly thinking it is soft. Lydia slugs her on the jaw to knock her down. Then climbs on her and sits on her for the win.

Kathleen Turner forces Virginia Madsen to submit. Kathleen continues her winning ways but not without a fight. Virginia puts up a good struggle but Kathleen twists her arms behind her back and Virginia gives up. Kathleen dyes her hair black to give us a blonde vs brunette fight but she is really a blonde at heart.

Kate Capshaw out quicks Heather Locklear. Heather isn't the heaviest or strongest of fighters. She wins a lot of her fights because she is feisty and so quick. Kate also isn't all that big or strong. She can match Heather for speed and takes away Heather's usual advantage. Kate is a little more skilled than Heather. She is able to keep Heather off balance, finishing Heather off by spreading her legs and giving her a crotch stomp.

Kim Delaney wins the battle of the Kim's over Kim Wilde. Wilde thinks that Delaney is weak Delaney traps Wilde in a police choke hold she learned for N.Y.P.D. Blue. Wilde isn't strong enough to break out of it. To prove her strength, Delaney forces Wilde to her knees as she pressures her throat and tortures her arm. She makes Wilde admit that Delaney is tronger before she releases her.

Tracy Scoggins knocked out by Brooke Shields . I don't know why everyone thinks Brooke is so weak. Admittedly Tracy is a better fighter and nastier. But Brooke uses her much longer reach to punch the stuffing out of Tracy before Tracy can get her hands on Brooke.

Kathy Ireland blind sided by Rebecca de Mornay. I am swimming upstream on this one as everyone else seems to favor Kathy. In a fair fight I would agree. This is anything but a fair fight. Rebecca loves playing nasty women and that may be type casting. She attacks Kathy before she is ready. Kathy is too sweet to anticipate Rebecca's dirty tricks. Rebecca wins by bending Kathy's fingers until they almost break off.

Samantha Fox chases Catherine Oxenberg back to Philadelphia. Samantha is cocky, that's for sure. I almost didn't pick her because I doubt the confidence of someone who goes into a boxing match wearing headgear while her opponent doesn't. Catherine can be rather vicious in a fight herself. But I think Samantha has too many weapons and out duels Catherine in a very close fight.

Meg Ryan out lasts Cindy Margolis. I don't think of either of these women as fighters and definitely not strong. I think their records are over their heads. Neither woman has the strength to force the other to submit as both have more ability to resist giving up than they had tools to force a submission. It will be a very long battle with both women coming close to victory. Meg is in slightly better shape and eventually wears Cindy down to get a controversial victory.

Meg Ryan outlast Cindy Margolis are you kidding? Not even on Meg's best day could she keep up with Cindy. You must be out of your mind? Brooke knocking out Tracy Scoggins, you must be on drugs. It would be Tracy knocking out Brooke. As for the rest most of the fights are almost even either way. Outside of Heather Locklear, she definitely comes out with a tough win over Kate.

Fourth round is over, the fifth is coming tomorrow. Here is the post-round recap with a couple of big upsets decided by a single vote.

Lydia Cornell (39) vs Hunter Tylo (33)
Despite nothing to show for on the plus side, Hunter gave her all thinking she can outmuscle Lydia. However the blonde is slowly but surely getting comfortable in the competition and proved her strenght against the brunette. After a fairly even fight, mostly with both women rolling on the floor trying to gain an advantage it was Lydia who came out on top and pinned Hunter for her third victory overall.

Kathleen Turner (42) vs Virginia Madsen (32)
This was a pure case of outmuscling her opponent and Kathleen Turner firmly showed why she was a favourite to win this one from the start. Hard punches quickly dispatched Virginia onto her corner and since Kathleen wasn't going to give her any favours, she continued her attack until Virginia crumbled on the floor alltogether.

Kate Capshaw (42) vs Heather Locklear (35)
The experts were split on who's quicker and it seems like Heather was overconfident in thinking she was the one. Kate may be few years older but is no slouch and once she grabbed Heather's flesh, she smothered the younger blonde and had little trouble of finishing her off, as byline would have wished, with a crotch stomp.

Kim Delaney (34) vs Kim Wilde (41)
Battle of the two Kims went in favour on the blonde who's beginning to show, Wilde is not only her name but also a style of fighting. The brunette Kim managed to stay on her feet long enough to make it her most competitive fight thus far, but she couldn't match the blonde's Kim aggression who ended up kicking the brains out of her brunette namesake.

Tracy Scoggins (38) vs Brooke Shields (39)
A genuine upset here allthough byline had this on the cards. Tracy Scoggins seemed to be an overwhelming favourite but after losing three fights Brooke Shields was desperate on finding a winning tactic. And that proved to be staying out of Tracy's reach for most of the fight. Tracy could have easily knocked out Brooke if she could only get her within her fists, but Brooke had other ideas and attacked Tracy's legs, tripping her over. Once they got on the ground, Brooke was able to use her fists against Tracy's face and it was Tracy's stuffing that got punched out in the end.

Kathy Ireland (48) vs Rebecca de Mornay (28)
This time both GlamourFights and barbosa had the experts' edge as Kathy was simply too big and powerful for the malicious but overwhelmed Rebecca. In fact, the tall model beat up the blonde actress so badly, it ended up as the second worst trouncing only behind Sharon Stone's win over Rosanna Arquette.

Samantha Fox (35) vs Catherine Oxenberg (44)
The petite singer's early antics seemed to have taken a stall for the time being as Catherine Oxenberg firmly chased & tossed her around into sheer exhaustion and eventual submission. Samantha begged for Catherine to stop the onslaught, but Catherine was keen on winning by a stampedous KO and that's what she got much to her pleasure.

Meg Ryan (38) vs Cindy Margolis (37)
If Brooke Shields' win was an upset, then Meg Ryan's was a mega upset. Nobody but byline had this one in mind and most certainly not Cindy Margolis. Teasing Meg Ryan with that cleavage was risky at best and sure enough, Meg didn't bother to do anything else rather then ripping the model's tits off. Neither of Cindy's opponents managed to do that before and Meg held on despite Cindy's heavy punches landing on her face. Finally Cindy couldn't take the pain and dropped on her knees and Meg kicked her into submission after a very long and intense fight.
